I take off my clothes and look at my reflection in a wall mirror. I am wearing nothing but a tiny golden cross necklace that has always been around my neck - always since I don’t remember putting it on. Standing in front of the mirror I just stare at myself as if looking into the wonder of a human creature. I study my eyes, eyelids, pupils, and my nose. I step back a little to follow the lines of my shoulders and collarbones, and then some noise breaks my concentration. It is people around me. They all are naked. A little rattled, I just push a door leading to a room and enter.

It’s humid and louder inside. There are three large round pools made of fake marble pieces. Water in each pool is flooding over the edge, making sounds and glittering with reflected light. I see that each pool has its own keeper. At one end of one pool, thirty inches above ledge of the pool closest to the entrance, sits confidently a stone turtle as if ruling over the sea before him. The next sea seems to be the domain of a stone frog. The animals are wearing necklaces that indicates the temperature of the water, which keeps falling from their open mouths.
