About this ebook

Sex, Secrets & Murder the Chronicles of Red Velvet dives into the life of Sidney Foster, a lonely stay-at-home wife who is stuck in an unfulfilling marriage. Her husband, Jackson Foster, the cofounder of Detroits J.Ro (Jay-Row) Records, travels excessively, leaving her home alone. Their next door neighbor, Miles Burns, was always attracted to Sidney and saw an opportunity to make his move. He couldnt resist the temptation to taste her forbidden fruit, and she let him. He didnt know he would unleash the woman buried inside her, and life as he knew it would never be the same. She frequents nightclubs and other questionable establishments to indulge in one sexual encounter after another. The problem is, she doesnt remember any of it. Is it amnesia, blackouts, multiple personalities, or selective memory? A black widow of sorts, she leaves a trail of dead bodies wherever she goes. Life ceases to exist for any man that may cross her path; in fact, they are dying for a taste of Red Velvet.

    Dedication

This book is dedicated to every woman that has an alter ego.

Unleash the woman that resides inside.

I WANT TO TAKE A MOMENT

    TO INTRODUCE…

    RED VELVET

    ALTER EGO

She was created on a starry night

With a single grain of sand

And a purple bag in one hand

At the stars I did stare

When I came to, she was standing there

Red bone, red silk with skin smooth like velvet

She looked like me and all I wanted to be

    I asked her name

She hesitated a bit, then replied

    They call me Red Velvet

    She walks alone

In a class all her own

    Crave her men do

    Want her women too

    Cash, credit or debit

    One bad habit

    Halle, Janet, Sanaa

    Can’t deny

    Being under her spell

    Is heaven, not hell

    Four in a tub

    Rub a dub dub

    Hot passion in the corner

On the counter, on the floor

    Ooh wee, mi amore

    I’ll roll with her flow

    My alter ego

Pop Rocks, Halls, boys with toys

    Planes, trains, and automobiles

    Three inch heels

    Undeniable sex appeal

    She do what she do

    Without the shame of it

    The name of it

    The hypocrisy of it

and all the rest of the shit

    Ladies watch your man

    She’s in demand

    All part of the plan

    To hit and quit

    They call her Red Velvet

    Many will pay for her

Lie, lust, cheat and steal for her

Lick the bowl for a taste of her

A perfect mold, to have and to hold

    Must keep her hidden

    She’s forbidden

    Joe blow, blow Joe

    They call her Red Velvet

    My alter ego

    Prologue

It’s Friday night and the velvet rope is up outside Club Climax. The line is long with barely clothed women and nicely dressed men. Entry was granted at the door man’s discretion. You had to be hot and well dressed to be selected. Club Climax was an exclusive club for ballers and shot callers, heavy hitters and money getters. The dance floor was filled to capacity. The music was bumping and the party was jumping. Cristal bottles popping and the DJ rocking. Suddenly the music stopped and dancing paused. Like the parting of the Red Sea, dancers parted ways to create a path for her to walk through. She was a red bone wearing a red silk dress made only for her. It hugged every curve and exposed enough to entice the wildest imagination. The aroma of her perfume lingered in the air as she passed through the crowd.
