August 2008 we were moving into our first apartment. My Twin sister and I asked my Parents to sign for our own apartment. At first they were hesitant, however they eventually agreed. We had been living in our Parents basement, in our childhood home. Before moving in to the apartment .We lived in our Parents basement. We renovated the space. We both worked as Home Attendants. We worked for an agency doing double cases and private cases. We felt, financially we could afford it. Online classes are what we chose to do, so we could work at the same time. All cases we worked professionally. Meaning no Sex with patients, we wore our uniforms at all times and we treated every patient with dignity and respect. Fast forward from 2008 to 2015.
Our New Year Resolution for 2015 is to be happy, exercise, Thank God for health, publish our book, keep family close and be positive. However nothing in life is easy, 2015 is here. My twin sister and I decided to open a twitter. Write a book because we wondered if others could relate to our life situations. It is about sex, style, relationships and family.
Sometimes we make plans and it does not always happen. Life is about struggles, the good, the bad, goals, honesty and being real. My sister and I really wanted to work on a project together. Our Twitter and book really is about our life and daily struggles.
Our struggles are with weight, ladies you can relate to Menstrual Cycle problems it is difficult to exercise and work. Financial difficulties, mounting bills, we had jobs. We lost our jobs at the same time. During the holidays we were unable to buy gifts, we lost our apartment. God blessed us to have one another. Our family was very supportive. We moved into our parents’ second house .We Thank God we were not homeless. We were able to keep a roof over our heads, food on the table and have a place to take a warm bath. For the first time we had to sign up to welfare, get a food card and get benefits from (Melisa‘s) job. When my twin sister and I are on the train if we see someone homeless we give a dollar or what we have. We always remember that God blessed us with a great family and Life.
We did not feel ashamed we needed help and went to our family for help. As Home Attendants and we worked every day. We traveled all over Queens and Manhattan. The middle class, the wealthy and poor are the types of patients we cared for .We were barely absent because we knew our patients relied on us. Rain, Snow, Sunshine and heat we were at work.
Many times our family would say change your job. You need
