Foreword
This book of poetry entitled, Poems Of Substance
are poems of insight and much forethought. Although they may seem opinionated, are factual in their content. They are both thought provoking and entertaining from the standpoint of reality and satirical.
These poems are dear to my heart and memories that I wish to share with readers of such poetic prowess and interest.
THE HUMAN RACE
is a rendition of how I think mankind should be viewed when differences of opinion are sometimes had as a result of different ethnic backgrounds and nationalities. But all the poems hereon are interesting in the fact that much concentration and forethought was involved before the written words.
As a result, I did not stick to one genre as the reader will surely acknowledge when reading them.
I sincerely hope these few items of interest will be both Substantive and Controversial
and enjoyable to the readers of this book. It is also my sincere wish that those of you who pick up this book of poetry will be able to relate to both the content and factual accounts of the world we live in as relating to humankind; true to life situations, sports, events, animals and other topics that are sure to spark the interest of the Baby Boomers
as well as the X generation and the younger people who wish to pursue Poetry
as a written synopsis of feelings, thoughts and rhythmic composition that will enhance the ambition of those who wish to communicate using the written word on a poetic level.
Thanks to each and everyone of you who enjoy good poetic compositions to deliver messages that are necessary for the existence of humankind to live peaceful in a world that seems to always be at war over simple things that with an understanding of how The Creator
wants us to live as the highest form of life on this planet, can have dialogue and come together as human beings as opposed to differences in opinions, religions and/or ethnic backgrounds.
