Cecy Baez

Cecy Baez was born in Manhattan, New York. The fourth child of six. Cecy graduated from various institutions’ with degrees in Medical Clerk, Bilingual Secretary and Medical Transcriptionist. She married young and raised her three children on her own. Poetry has always been a way to express my thoughts and feelings to others. It’s because of you that…

I learned to trust again

I learned what true love is about

I learned to communicate my fears and joys.

It’s because of you that…

I feel alive and can experience

the need of being with you.

It’s because of you that…

I want more of you each day

I miss you

I desire the moment of intimacy.

It’s because of you that…

My life feels complete

My world revolts on you.

It’s because of you that…

My days are brighter ones

It’s because of you that…

I have a different perspective of life

and that’s why I will always love you.

Endurance

Today you’ve loved me so intense, so genuine

that I can feel the love you were reserving inside.

It’s so magical to feel your touch so gentle, so soft.

A pause to reflect each moment going by,

It’s so special, so subtle, that it makes me crave for more.

How can I explain it? Impossible?

This unique way of expressing our bodies, feeling the maximum

sensation that corrupts our souls giving each other

the pleasure desired,

the uncontrollable moments,

which excite us and make us feel we’re in another world.

This unique feeling will last a few moments,

Then a slight calmness, a sense of peace,

a moment of happiness for the time shared.

There are no regrets, no turning back,

just satisfaction relies between us.

These moments will never be gone.

They will remain so special and deep within our lives.

Just For Today

Just for today… . I wish I could turn time back

and know that by your side I feel safe.

Just for today… . My love revolts around you

wishing it would last forever.

Just for today… . I thought so much about you

and all the wonderful moments

you’ve chosen to give me.

Just for today… . I felt the wondrous touch,

kiss and passion which I never

thought could ever exist.

Just for today… . I guess we will have to live
