About this ebook
I started to see how sad people were when they left. I saw with everything they had there was always something missing. Many times on the trip they would be able to forget about those things but when they were leaving they would show up in their face. Sometimes they would tell me, confide in me. I could tell the ones who wanted attention from the ones who had a genuine ache somewhere.
I didnt like you when I first met you. Would you like to know when I started to like you?
When someone speaks honestly I listen with interest.
I started to like you when I realized you knew how in love I am with my husband. There was a real understanding and respect there.

To all women who are truly in love but still fantasize.
Chapter 1
It had been a number of years since Yvonne and her husband had been away on vacation. They had taken their honeymoon in Bermuda and then went away every year for the next three years, always to different islands. Then things became busy in New York.
Both Yvonne and her husband were committed to their careers, she as a paralegal and he as a high-powered lawyer. There just didn’t seem to be time to take vacations, especially outside the country. There were always the holiday trips to see family—Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter. Each holiday, they would go to a different state, which was what it took to keep up with both families, his brothers, and Yvonne’s two sisters.
Family members came to count on their visits at holiday time. In the summer, both families had a family reunion at different locations. Twice they were able to get away and go to Martha’s Vineyard on the Cape, and that was a nice quiet getaway. The Vineyard is a special place. Spike Lee resides there now, along with many other interesting people.
A husband and a wife need a getaway at least once a year to do nothing more than eat, drink, and make love. A marriage is a commitment in more ways than one. You get into bed at different times and fuck under the covers when you can or when one or the other isn’t asleep yet. Men get hard in the morning, and for the most part, women want nothing to do with a man in the morning. Other times, sex happens to cool off a fight. When there is nothing else to argue about or say, a nice tender fuck is usually in order. Unfortunately for a married couple, long periods of time go by when sex simply doesn’t happen.
So a vacation is a time that a married man and woman who truly love and respect each other can have some exciting adventures, perhaps swimming, dancing, and meeting interesting people and interacting with other cultures. However, in any true marriage, a vacation is really about paying attention to eating, drinking, and mostly fucking, where one day’s fuck is followed by other days. There is nothing in between, except something tasty to eat or drink. The married couple should be outside the room only to give the maids enough time to clean the sheets and put new soaps and shampoo in the bathroom.
On vacation, a man and a woman should be able to look each other in the eye and say, Fucking you is what this marriage is about. We are as committed to each other in all other ways. On this vacation, at this time, my biggest commitment is to fuck you like there’s simply no tomorrow.
Both Yvonne and her husband had been very busy leading up to the vacation. Her husband was working almost around the clock, preparing not only what he needed to do on a busy day but also preparing for the two weeks he would be gone. He even had to prepare for cases when he would be returning. He had learned when he started out in law that the only way to be one of the best in his profession and also to give his clients the best service was to out-prepare anyone else in the courtroom or the negotiation table.
Yvonne was busy as well; she was not only doing her usual chores and the work that needed to be done at her job as a paralegal, but she needed to prepare for the trip and also make sure her four cats were going to be taken care of.
Her husband used to joke that two cats equaled one person to feed, and although on a daily basis this wasn’t true, once you started getting the vet bills, it was more than that.
Yvonne had many hobbies. She loved black art and was a collector with many pieces throughout the house, including Cal Massey, Earl Lewis, and LaReine Nixon, whom she knew when she owned that trailer on Thirty-Ninth and Market Streets, and she was selling black art before she made it famous herself in the art world.
She drew a picture of Yvonne, which was hanging in the living room. No one can believe she was able to get someone who was now so famous to paint a picture of her. Everyone who came to the house admired it. Yvonne herself was a pretty good sculptor.
Yvonne started about five years ago and has had a few shows that did very well. Now that she’s planning for the trip, all art had been put on hold. She recently read a book by Rollo May called The Courage to Create. He makes the point that creativity is connected to sexual stimulation. She agreed with him because ever since she started working with sculpture, she found she was hot more often. Sex had always been an important release of tension for her.
Even before, when she left on vacation to the Vineyard, Yvonne missed and worried about her cats, especially the oldest one, who was having quite a bit of medical problems. She would hate to come home and find her dead. Much of the communication these busy days between her and her husband was about the cat. Have you seen her?
and Is she eating?
Claws was a stray that Yvonne fed outside the house before allowing her to come inside. They had become friends shortly after she and her husband moved into the house. Claws, an outdoor cat, had been happy to stay outside fending for herself. The new homeowner and wildcat met in the wintertime when the cat was hungry.
Yvonne liked both her strength and resilience. She had a certain sixth sense, the same kind that Yvonne had with her husband. Yvonne’s husband liked her for her feminine charm and outgoing personality. Few people knew that Yvonne’s mother was a real recluse, so the personal, social Yvonne was something she developed on her own. Still, she was used to dealing with a recluse, and Claws certainly was that.
Her husband was no recluse, but he was quite serious and a very good listener. He was extremely intelligent, so he had no need to let people know that he was intelligent, like people who need to prove themselves. They would just figure it out for themselves. This made him feel very comfortable listening and asking pointed questions. He read constantly, and when he didn’t have something serious to read, he carried a novel in his back pocket, dating all the way back to his high school and college days when he used to devour a novel in a day.
Yvonne knew as soon as she laid eyes on her husband, whom had been the roommate of a friend of her best girlfriend’s boyfriend in college, that this was the man she wanted to marry. It was his strength and obvious sensitivity that did it. She had the same attraction to Claws, and her husband knew this as well. Claws was both intelligent and strong, and she knew it, which was why seeing her deteriorate was so discouraging.
Both Yvonne and her husband felt comfortable in the house and liked their solitude and privacy there. They never had children. Children were something they discussed because they both liked them but kept putting them off because her husband’s career became so demanding. Their lives together became so busy, and space alone was precious. Children never happened. If it had, they would have welcomed them.
One day, Claws came to the door, begging for Yvonne to come out to the bushes behind the house. There she found five kittens. Yvonne brought them into the house, keeping three and giving two away. Now there were four cats running around the house. They were all quickly declawed, except for Claws, who had a good enough relationship with Yvonne that she listened when she told her to stay off certain things.
Claws still spent most of her time outside the house, although now that she was getting older, she was home sleeping a lot of the time.
Of course, if they hadn’t taken Claws in, she would certainly be dead by now. They had to take her to the vet a number of times and twice leave her there for operations. Before each operation, the doctor had said it was a fifty-fifty chance if she would make it. Fifty-fifty chance does not seem much when you’re spending over two grand a shot on a stray cat.
However, Yvonne knew she would spare no expense for Claws, who had become her good friend and had the same personality as her husband. As much as her husband was quiet out in the world, he talked to Yvonne constantly at home. Yvonne usually listened, and her husband talked nonstop. Outside of the house, Yvonne was the talker.
Yvonne figured Claws was also very quiet out in the wilderness as she made tracks, but Yvonne liked her attention when she was in the house, especially after coming home from a fight. Yvonne’s cat would follow her from room to room at times, just trying to be close to her. Then when her husband was home, she went back to her own territory. The two in the house understood each other as much as they understood the lady of the house. That is to say, as well as any man or beast can understand a woman.
Chapter 2
Yvonne and her husband were packed and ready to go. Yvonne was sound asleep when her husband came in at 2:00 am. She then had to get up at four, double-check the tickets, and bring the bags downstairs so they were ready for the cab.
At five, she dragged her snoring husband out of bed. He jumped into a quick shower, and she had coffee brewing for both of them to take on the road. She had his clothes waiting out for him. They raced down the stairs together, and her husband quickly fell back asleep in the cab.
Arriving at the airport at six, only after an hour before the flight, they were surprised that there were so many people waiting in line at Atlantic Airlines. Yvonne was nervous that, by the time they went through security, they would miss the flight. It wasn’t only that she and her husband needed this vacation, but they just needed the amount of time that they put aside for it. They needed an extended amount of time away together, and losing days because they missed the flight wouldn’t be a good thing.
It took a couple of days to settle into a vacation as it was. Yvonne went to the counter several times to see if the flight was on time. When they reached security, she asked them to call ahead to the plane, which, to her surprise, they did. Once they got on board, her husband fell asleep, and it took a while for Yvonne’s heart to stop beating a million times a minute with worry about not making the plane and from running. It was a direct flight, which luckily meant they would be getting into Montego Bay early enough, really by noon, and they should get to their hotel by two in the afternoon.
Yvonne watched the movie and ate both hers and her husband’s breakfast and snack while her husband snored away. Finally they were sailing over the water, and Yvonne felt refreshed and happy. Seeing beautiful green-blue water, she felt a rush of joy and out of breath as the plane glided over it.
She gripped her husband’s hand, but he didn’t shake himself awake until the plane came to a complete stop. She could tell he was grumpy, still sleepy, as he practically sleepwalked off the plane. She wasn’t even sure if he knew where he was.
By the time they gathered their bags and waited in line through customs, it was one. The customs line was long, and the bags, for whatever reason, were delayed, but she could feel heat from the outside. Then they had to wait almost an hour for the van to get enough people to go take them to their hotel.
Yes, most of the travel day is wasted traveling, and the vacation wouldn’t really start until tomorrow, she thought. That’s why we planned to be here a long time,
Yvonne said to herself out loud.
What?
her husband asked.
Nothing, baby, we’re here, we’re here.
She grabbed his hand. She loved the beautiful colors the Jamaican people wore, the rhythmic sound of their voices, and Yeah mon
every other minute. Their voices had their own rhythm and flow and gave the island a feeling like no other. She enjoyed watching the hot sweaty men walking around and drinking a cool drink with her husband at the bar while they waited for the van. Finally they were inside and on their way to their destination, Negril.
The woman driver gave a brief history of the three-hundred-year-old towns they went through; and Yvonne found herself almost half paying attention until, in her soft, sexy voice, she pointed out the Terrell Golf Course, which she said was rated number two in the world and held one Masters tournament and many other championships.
Jamaican men don’t play golf because they don’t like missing holes or losing balls,
the woman said matter-of-factly. Yvonne was the only one who laughed loudly.
My husband won’t be playing golf on this trip either. We have other plans,
Yvonne said.
This time, the only person who laughed was the driver, who said, Yeah mon.
Yvonne was already feeling herself getting hot and feeling like she was in the early stages of a long vacation.
Chapter 3
As soon as they were able to get settled in their room, Yvonne’s husband took a shower, lathered up, rinsed and jumped right into bed. Yvonne went down to explore and look around. The beach was accessible right outside the door of the hotel, and there were lots of things to do, from fishing to skydiving.
Yvonne met a fifty-year-old rotund native, who told her he would be willing to both catch and cook any kind of fish for her anytime. She asked if he would be willing to do it for that evening, and of course, he said he would. She went across the street to buy a bottle of wine and then stepped back up to put the bottle in the small fridge that was in her room.
Again, her husband was snoring, so Yvonne went back to the beach and stopped at an oval bar outside of the hotel. She heard a boat going by announcing the musical events that would be occurring across Negril in the evening.
May I get you our special for the day, rum and Coke or a lady lick?
the tall, handsome man of about thirty asked with a Jamaican accent.
Excuse me?
Yes, we have a different special every day, and today it is rum and Coke. Every day we have a special called lady lick.
What is that, some kind of creamy drink to compliment the orgasm?
Yvonne laughed.
The man laughed playfully. No, my lady, it is not. It is a service that we give to beautiful ladies like you. Ladies who would like to get licked very nicely in a nice atmosphere for a fee.
Yvonne felt herself getting angry. I’m here with my husband, thank you, and we have planned a very nice vacation. We certainly don’t need help from you.
Please don’t be upset. I saw you come in with your husband. He seemed like a very interesting and nice guy. I mean, he would have to be for someone as beautiful as you to pledge your life to him. Sometimes in the best of marriages, the man stops licking the lady, and this is something that the lady misses, so we offer it as a service, that’s all.
The man continued, We certainly don’t want to interfere with either your vacation or your marriage. Please don’t take offense. I will never mention it to you again. Of course, if you think it over and realize that I am right, then you can come back to me and I’ll give you the details.
Right about what?
Yvonne asked.
"I can see things in people. I’ve been in this business a
