About this ebook
It would not be by irony that, unbeknownst to himself, he was bound by destiny to play off the courage, friendships and sacrifices of his universe, so that a hope for another may be born.
***
Join Dr. Mason as he time-meta-phases himself into a world, which exceeds the birth of Time itself.
While succeeding in gaining access into unknown dimensions and introducing his being to unparelled relationships, he will eventually help to shape their ultimate struggle for survival against the unsightly ramifications of his experiment, unleashed upon the unsuspecting universes as a most savage awakening.

FOREWORD
Long, long ago, in a different age,
much before the becoming of your galaxies or constellations,
was a place of Gods.
It was there and then it would come to pass an unimaginable
but truly wondrous transformation!
As all this began to occur, they would come to construct and conform to bring forth a new Creation!
And they bestowed upon it their own laws of justice that are and that have yet to be, all in accordance with His Grace and Divinity.
However, due to a series of unfathomable scenarios set forth in motion out of a future that had not yet clearly unfurled or been defined, the eventual repercussions would come to be regarded to cause one of the great calamities and eventually be recognized as the beginning of the Second Eternity.
What transpired during its wake, the Age of Time, is that there would come to rest upon these very privileged and special manifestations a great and significant power.
Only for reasons that as yet still remain unknown, they seem impervious of its immaculate potential or had chosen to remain blind to it!
PREFACE A
AAIM
(AD 2013)
Fearing interference from foreign governments and their ongoing power struggles, AAIM was forced to be located in a concealed part of the Western Hemisphere of the planet Earth. It is the third of twelve planets that compose the star system known as Terron, located in the here and the now, which will also become known to some as—the Second Eternity.
Meanwhile it is there that we find a brand-new revolutionary technology called Time Metaphase Trax Inducer conceived, devised, and engineered by theoretical astrophysicist Dr. David J. Mason, who is presently awaiting official clearance from his superior, General Duncan. Unknowingly he is mere moments away from steering the Advancement in Aerospace and Intelligence Management Corporation directly into a breach with another realm due to the construction of this invention. And yet, even with all the precautions and safeguards seemingly set carefully in place, there is still no set of any proper guidelines in preparation for the series of leaps in dimensions that lie in waiting for him. Of the many of these unexplained phenomena he will momentarily face—one is called the Outer Spiritual Plains—will result in an intergalactic space disturbance and will introduce Dr. Mason to other enforced laws beset by lore of another long-forgotten era.
However, as things stand on this launch day, while each member of the support team is eagerly anticipating zero hour and performing last-minute safeguard checks, and his radio transmission channels overflow with incoherent chatter, we find the always passionate and determined Dr. Mason ready at his station. Seated comfortably at the helm of his main console, he studies the readings emitting from the core of his Trax Inducers and is delighted with the result of his final visual inspection.
From inside his invention’s chamber, he perceives Dr. Ortega’s face as he is about to shut the chamber door behind him, and asks him, You are not having any second thoughts about this, are you?
Looking back at his friend and co-researcher, Dr. Jose Ortega answers with slight hesitation, What would make you say something like that?
Well, it’s that worried look you had on your face a moment ago,
points out Mason, noticing Ortega had been momentarily lost in his thoughts.
More like concerned, you mean… and give me a break, I was merely concentrating on what needs to be done here,
answers Ortega, caught slightly off guard by Mason’s sharp observation.
You’re always concentrating, that’s why that look you just had told me differently. You are very easy to read, my friend,
says Mason. Come on, out with it, what’s up?
All right, since you asked. What if we did manage to overlook something or we are just simply unaware of…
Mason comforts his friend the best he can, looking him in the eye and smiling that winning smile of his, and tells him, Hey, we’ve all been extremely diligent in our research, working long and hard for this. Especially the both of us. Perhaps this will take us one more step closer to understanding our Maker and facing our destiny. Now c’mon, seal the chamber door and let’s get ready.
It was right after he finishes cross-referencing the readouts on the display panels that he verifies and confirms the gathering intelligence coming together onto his viewfinder screen, matches it up again with his checklist, and confirms it to Dr. Ortega, all the while still listening curtly to the influx of information spewing through AAIM’s main monitor console.
Shielded away from any potential accidental radiation exposure in what was the Light Observation Tower—or LOT—he can still make out the distorted shapes that come to form the rest of the elite team. The ones regarded as in charge and the heads of the squad were General Thad Duncan, the figure behind the military ops, and Dr. Si-Fan Kin, director of an independent and mysterious corporation, who have invested significant amounts of resources into this top-secret brainstorm, for their own profit. He could also make out, standing to Kin’s side, the love of his life, Barbara Monroe, who also had served him loyally as his researcher and assistant for almost twenty years. And Dr. Ortega, who had been a prominent figure, for he had helped him in obtaining key resources for the building of the engine’s core and cooperated in the actual design and completion of the Trax Inducer Chamber.
Mason had met Ortega when they both were very young. Even back then, Ortega was singled out for having a rather high intelligence and for wearing little John Lennon-like glasses. Some of the other kids started picking on him simply because he liked to keep to himself and for what he brought for his lunch every day—carrots and molasses sandwiches. Unknown to the thugs he would fall victim to, and neither did they care, he brought the carrots as food for the small family of wild rabbits that lived in the vicinity of the schoolyard’s grounds.
The bullies enjoyed giving him a hard time on occasions mainly because he was small in stature and an awkward fellow. On one occasion as they started to subject Ortega to the usual ridicule and harassment, Mason took them aside, for he was able to fend for himself, and said something to them. As a result, they never bothered Ortega again. Whatever he had told them, Ortega took notice and was most thankful. He swore he would one day repay Mason somehow for the kindness he showed. They would quickly become good friends.
Ortega saw the fire that fueled Mason’s desire and asked him why he was so determined in his work. Mason confided in Ortega, in the long hours of the nights amidst their research, about the strange experience he had as a child—of the visit or the apparition of what he could only describe as a mermaid-like being he had seen hovering on his bedroom wall. Though Ortega had tried on several occasions since to explain this occurrence to his friend as a mere dream, Mason had been steadfast in his belief that it was not so, describing that the emotions he had experienced during that episode made it feel so much more than that.
What do you mean?
inquired Ortega, trying to be understanding.
It felt so real. And I remember still, it was as if she was trying to tell me or ask me something, but either way, I just could not hear what she was saying,
said Mason.
When asked to elaborate on the subject, Mason told him he couldn’t, perhaps at a later time. Nonetheless, he made it clear to Ortega that this encounter had peaked and shaped his curiosity and confirmed his belief that they were not alone in the universe.
* * *
As the countdown inches closer to zero hour, Dr. Mason notices the more relieved he becomes from any anxiety that might have been building up. As he continues to concentrate, he returns to the basic mental exercises. He had been looking forward to this moment all his life; he dared not dream of anything else to do!
Then he hears the all too familiar voice: Dave, this is Barbara. Everything checks out on this end. Pressure is good and the Harmo-Topographical wave inducers are showing steady. I am ready to relay the coordinates to your main console. Ready when you are.
You know what I love about you, Mrs. Mason?
No, Dr. Mason. Just what is it do you love about me?
You just know how to charm the ear off a man first thing in the morning!
Brought some coffee for when you get back. Need extra milk?
Just keep it hot, sweetheart, I shouldn’t be long.
OK, enough of that, you two. Save some for the welcome-back party,
grumbles General Duncan. Now, David, we need to finish going through the checklist! Verify and see if all secondary relay systems are on standby.
Dr. Mason replies, "All power grids are charged, readied, and systems are all showing optimal. Everything is go for green!"
Copy that! I also have code green across the board!
confirms Dr. Ortega.
A small grin appears on Mason’s face as he braces himself with anticipation for what is to follow.
As he awaits the final countdown, sitting there at the helm of his Time Metaphase Trax Inducer Chamber, Dr. Mason still has no idea of the repercussions that will emanate out from his experiment. He is about to become the very first human being to successfully break the speed of light, resulting in him not only having the capacity to travel in time but unknowingly actually perforating the so-called time barrier, resonating beyond it and coming to gain access into the First Eternity, and hold par to the realms of the Gods themselves.
Let’s do this,
declared Mason.
It is immediately after Dr. Mason had made his announcement that he hears General Duncan’s rogue voice interjecting
