      A Silent Prayer

      Amongst the unity, pride and peace, something was amidst

      The atmosphere was a haze

      The feeling of burden, fear, wrath

      The belief of keeping the faith

      The union of oneness

      Yet reality was belittled

      Destruction, war, crime

      The shredding of a million hearts

      The tears of a billion infants

      The shudders of unknown souls

      Deep within it troubled, strangled and stared

      Yet it remained helpless

      A unity so desired

      A gathering so willed

      It was all a nightmare folding within reach

      Yet only a silent prayer held
