The Ninja Assassin
As Jade looked around the top of the building, she couldn't help but admire the architecture. The roof was structured to imitate a diamond's shape and to ensure that the diamond-like pinnacle would absorb the harsh sun's rays during the day so at night it could be harvested for the satanic rituals in the building below.
Jade looked down, and luckily for her, the satanists below couldn't see her or even catch a hint that she was above them. They were obviously too possessed.
'Just one more cut', Jade said as she looked on impatiently, cutting the rooftop cylinder with her laser cutter. She chose a small expanse so that she could maneuver her smooth silhouette without any hesitation. Tonight, she was going to be an angel fighting the demons from Hell.
The little girl on the altar was heavily drugged so as to not fight off any advances from the figures who were going to violate her. She had on a white garment as with all the girl victims before her. She was going to be sacrificed.
The head satanist looked around with his red robe, which hid his arms and whole body, just giving off his feet and big hands and on his head a huge dragon faced mask that covered his whole head, which was in gold.
The head satanist walked around with a big golden dagger, which was studded with rubies and emeralds while readying his position. There were also six other figures dressed up in black with black masks on, just giving off their hands and feet.
As Jade finally cut off the final piece of the rooftop, she made herself ready with her ninja stars, while her Katana sword was firmly holstered on her back.
Looking on, she just closed her eyes and said, 'God, please guide me.'
The head satanist started chanting, and not long after that, the other six figures followed. It was really disturbing as Jade looked on above getting her one ninja star ready.
Not one moment later, the figure in red walked and stood in front of the girl, and with a slight wave of his hand to the others, the chanting stopped as he lifted his arm with the dagger.
In midair, a ninja star flew from above, right down below to the satanist as it cut his arm off and got stuck into a wall below. Before, the head satanist didn't realize what was happening, as he still wanted to stab the little girl when the pain started to rationalize in his head as the pain hit home.
He gave off a loud scream as the other figures rushed over to him as blood sprayed from his arm. No sooner had they circled him, a lady in white flew through the air, somersaulting three times while landing gently on her feet, throwing two other ninja stars, and decapitating two figures whilst undoing her sword, brutally injuring each one of them before killing them with her sword.
As the bodies fell to the ground, Jade looked around, put her sword in its holster behind her back, and rushed over to the little girl, firstly feeling for a pulse on the girl's neck.
'Thank God you're still here!' Jade picked up the little girl and held her closely to her. Both of them had on white as Jade walked to stand underneath the area from where she came. She bent her knees and jumped up to the roof, without effort from where she came as she held the girl tightly to her. Jade stood on the roof and never looked back, trying to get away as fast as possible. From behind, menacing sounds came from the building below as demons were unleashed. Jade jumped gently from the rooftop and made her way towards a car where a man was waiting for her, placing the little girl on the back seat, and putting a blanket over her. The man handed her a switch, which she detonated.
The building behind them exploded as demonic bodies ascended into the air, burning with the fire as they shrieked, evaporating into the night light as the man and woman drove off with the little girl deep into the night.
A Frightening Result
As she was admiring the view below, the woman in black was lost in thought. Her slender figure was well emphasized by her black dress with her blonde hair in a neat boy cut, making her look even more attractive. Her office was big with a huge office space, which stood out with her exquisite elegance. As she turned around, she looked around with her blue eyes, looking at the huge black leather couches at the front of the room, near the red entrance door. The grey dark walls and the black and white checkered tile floors blended in with her outfit and also her dark nature, making her white milky skin seem pure in all the blackness. She fixated her attention on her desk, looking on with her arms folded behind her back. There were three reports with information on her enemy.
With a blink of an eye, there was a firm knock on the door. Still looking down at the reports, the door opened. The person who entered the room didn't look like a normal man. He was tall with white pale skin and black eyes. He was dressed as if he came out of a King Arthur story. His long golden blonde hair with his golden beard and golden sideburns made him seem all the more visible as a knight. He also had a gruesome scar underneath his left cheek.
His silver armor was pure hard metal with metal gloves, boots, and a red velvet cape, which almost touched the floor. At his back, a fierce sword, as big as a surfboard, was holstered in his large sheath. With his brute size, you could see this man was a man with frightening strength. Amazingly as he entered the room, his boots along with his heavy outfit didn't make any noise as he strolled over to her.
'Julia, I just saw one of the reports. Five blood cults killed in two weeks and that little bitch disappeared just like that.' His face was taking a slight frown and then turning angry.
'We were supposed to be infallible, but your leadership has shown to lack what it was that I could offer.'
'And what is that, if I may ask?' The woman blinked in disbelief.
'You know very well that I should've been CEO of the Seven-Elite. I would've gone out to make sure that this organization would've been flawless in its activities and management, but instead, the board mad someone like you to be in charge,' the man said clasping his left metal glove, irritated.
'Your leadership, it seems has proven to lack in intellect and---'
'Let me stop you there, Winston. It's just straight to business with you, isn't it? You know perfectly well where I stand with everyone. It's just bad blood between us because you could never step up to the plate because your balls.'
The man came closer as she also stood up to face him. She obviously wasn't scared of him because unlike his brute strength, she could also inflict terrible pain with her gift. She stood right in front of him.
He smiled at her and then suddenly grabbed and clutched her throat with his massive right hand, lifting her from the ground.
'What were you going to say about my balls?'
With both her hands, she tried to break free from him, but it was only with her gift of sudden lightning that she could shock him. Releasing lightning power into him, he stood for a moment absorbing her power and then smiled, letting go of the woman's throat.
'Stupid bitch, didn't you know about now that your powers don't work on me?'
She looked at him angrily, while stroking her neck.
'It worked enough for you to let go of me.'
He smiled as he walked over to the window, standing with his back to her.
'What is this I hear about your experiment? Did you finally manage to do something productive? Or is it a waste of time? Just like you being CEO.'
'It kills you that you can't touch me. For your information, Winston, it's a doppelganger---an exact replica of her and not just any experiment but the ultimate warrior born. When she is unleashed into the world, that girl we call Jade will know what sweet revenge is, and I will finally be able to open up the Gateway and invoke the powers of the Underworld.'
Winston just rolled his eyes as he thought about that. It was a waste of his time. He obviously wasn't interested in such talk except for physically annihilating his enemies with his bare hands. Julia, on the other hand, was into the Arcane arts and wanted nothing more than to invoke the powers she sought.
Winston turned around and walked past her, while bumping her out of the way as he made his territory clear for her not to get in his way. As he stood by the door, opening it slowly, he turned around to look at her.
'You better make sure this idea of yours works, otherwise I will make it work against you, and we will soon see whether it was a good idea to make you head of our operation.'
With that, he closed the door behind him. Julia just breathed softly.
'Yes we will see.'
A few minutes later, Julia turned around looking at the small watch on her desk. In thirty minutes, the result would be finalized. She walked quietly to the left side of her desk to the wall, while gently pressing a small red button on the wall. With an immediate flick, the tiles on the wall started to open like a secret door in the wall.
No one else could see it, only her. As the door opened, it was a small elevator with beige tiling inside, enough for two people to fit in. There was a small button next to the normal button selection of twenty floors with the name 'Dark'. She pressed the button, and the door in front of her closed, taking her deep underground.
As the elevator door opened, Julia stepped out quietly and pressed the button to close the door. She looked around; there was only darkness. With a quick wave of her hand, the lamps on the walls caught flame.
The lights revealed a rocky cave pathway, which was dusty and narrow. It was like she was inside a small volcano underneath the city. The narrow path started to become a bridge as she walked on. The walls started to levitate away, and all around her was red as if she were in Hell. Fire was burning in the air as the bridge underneath her still remained. The bridge made itself to an altar, where a huge statue was built in stone. Underneath, a lava river was running. There was yellow orange light that illuminated the whole place.
The statue was a demon statue with two horns and a one eye in the middle of its forehead. It was clutching a massive hatch and looked as if it would hack someone.
Julia stood in front of the altar, bowing her head. From her shoulders, gigantic bat wings protruded and flapped aggressively. Behind the statue, a black shadow came out and flew around her. The whole thing was pure black with red eyes and a tongue like a serpent's. Its silhouette had a round head, a man's body, and no legs. The legs disappeared as if it were smoke evaporating behind it.
While flying around her, it spoke with the most hideous voice ever.
'The ritual is complete.'
The voice was like a child screaming, a woman speaking firmly, an old man struggling for his breath, and a young man whispering in one. Indeed, the most hideous voice ever. It made a slight wave of its hand and showed her to the left side of the altar. The shadow unleashed black dust into the air, and an egg appeared like a big oval raw red and pink piece of meat with purple veins appearing to be rotten with blood dripping down its veins. The egg was indeed a human's size, and inside, Julia could see a woman's body appearing. Still asleep, the womanly figure was floating in the egg's water with its eyes shut tight.
The more Julia looked into it, the more visible it became. The egg was beating as if it had a heart of its own along with the woman's heartbeat. The egg's veins were attached to the woman. Her red hair was floating in the water, and her big breasts, arms, legs, and waist were visible in front of her. The face, however, was not what she expected.
'Why is her face different?' Julia asked in a puzzled tone, almost sounding disappointed.
'She's supposed to look like her.'
'You only brought me blood samples, Julia. If you brought me her, then we would've had a perfect match. This is as good as it gets. Take it or leave it,' the menacing voice replied.
'But don't worry. Her mind, body, and soul is linked to that girl's. It will be precise, and it will be able to track her.'
The shadow floated right
