About this ebook

A Simple Parable is a book that God gave me pertaining to the famous movie The Wizard of Oz. It has many special meanings hidden that no one may have ever seen. A little girl needing to go home, a scarecrow needing a brain, a tin-man needing a heart, and a lion needing courage on a journey in this new place. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). A Simple Parable has exciting simple truths that we all need for our journey, and I believe it can help you find your purpose in our everyday lives.

    Acknowledgments

First of all, I would love to start by thanking my Lord Jesus for giving me this simple truth and for being loving and patient with me in this life journey He has given me.

I’m writing this book because of a simple parable the Lord gave me many years ago while I was watching the famous movie The Wizard of Oz.

This movie has always been special to me because once a year when it aired on television, it was a family memory between my mom, my sister, and me.

We would watch it while we ate Ritz crackers, Spam, and cheese. At the time it was just something we did for family time, but now I see it in a whole new light with so much more meaning … as a parable.

A parable is a simple story illustrating a moral truth. The moral truth in this movie is so amazing and awesome. Hopefully after you read this book, you will be blessed with the many truths in it!

Jesus used parables all the time in the Bible to teach us simple truths in His word.

Jesus spoke to them again in parables, saying. (Matthew 22:1 NIV)

My mother, Mary Duran, who has already finished her journey in this life, is one of the reasons I now have a relationship with my Lord Jesus.

She never gave up praying for my salvation and had a strong relationship with the Lord Jesus.

My mother went to be with the Lord in December 2010, and in August 2013, the Lord allowed my mother to come to me in a dream and said, It is time to write a book.

As I awoke from this dream, I had no idea what to write about. A few days later, the Lord reminded me of the hidden simple parable within the movie The Wizard of Oz.

I grabbed my computer, and this is what God gave me.

I pray that this simple parable will encourage and bless you in your life journey.

Remember that everyone will not understand your journey. It’s your journey, so don’t let anyone’s opinion hinder it.

I believe we all have our own unique story about our journeys, and your story is special, no matter what anyone may think or say. In the end the only thing that matters is what God thinks of your life journey.

If you watch movie beforehand, I believe the book will be more meaningful.

And God said, "This is the sign of the covenant I ‘am making between me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for
