Franny Hill
I grew up in Union, New Jersey, where I attended public schools, resulting in graduation from Union High School in 1983. I have lived with a diagnosis of schizophrenia for a portion of my life after graduation. I have achieved an associate’s degree in psychosocial rehabilitation with honors in 2014 from UCC and Rutgers. I lead a very recovery-oriented lifestyle that is full of spontaneity and discovery. I am an uncle of three nieces and a grand nephew that are the joy of my life. My life has improved since I have returned to school. My illness almost robbed me of my dreams. “Listen to Your Eyes” is my second book that speaks to all dreamers and achievers. Let nothing stand against you for your destiny.

Responsibility January 1
black.jpgWe were not made to avoid responsibility; it is the vehicle by which we experience fulfillment in our lives. There is where we have commonality.
Hosea 14:9 (KJV)
black.jpgOur Focus: Let us be found to be deserving of our place within HIS kingdom. Make no mistake: salvation is our responsibility.
January 2 Wisdom
black.jpgWe are the inheritance of wisdom. It shall become a part of us like a dear friend. This gift shall never go astray.
Matthew 11:19 (KJV)
black.jpgOur Focus: For us, there is but one choice. Wisdom will make us whole, for it comes from above. Let your consciousness take you to the truth.
Hope January 3
black.jpgThe human mind is barraged by information that; diminishes the hope we have attained. However, hope burns eternal for those who nurture their spirit.
Lamentations 3:26 (KJV)
black.jpgOur Focus: When we consider what we have survived, let there be hope. The world is on the verge of something remarkable.
January 4 Home
black.jpgLamentations 3:26 says,
It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for salvation of the LORD. To have a home is the manifestation of our hopes. Welcome home.
Lamentations 3:26 (KJV)
black.jpgOur focus: There is hope for us all. That hope has no pre-requisites. Continue on your journey allowing hope to be your guide.
Do we build or destroy January 5
black.jpgWe are born makers, more precisely, in the image of GOD. We can earn almost anything except-salvation. Take some time and ask for the ability to forgive others. Then, let that same forgiveness be bestowed upon you.
Ephesians 4:28 (KJV)
black.jpgOur Focus: The spirit embodies our understanding of right and wrong. Working for our sustenance gives us the freedom to help those who cannot.
January 6 Good health is a gift
black.jpgOn the average we take our health for granted. Unintentionally, we expect it to just be there like a favorite item at the convenience store. Today, we can make some better decisions to maintain our health. Let us make use of our common sense for more than just opinions.
Proverbs 12:18 (KJV)
black.jpgOur Focus: The tongue of the wise can make healthy those who are sick. We need to maintain our condition for living. It will give us the years we desire most of all.
Who do you love? January 7
black.jpgLove cannot be secured through a contract. If you want love then, you must produce love. The way to feel love is to give love. What you put into a relationship you will get out of that situation.
Matthew 5:44 (KJV)
black.jpgOur Focus: We intuitively are intuitively drawn to the ones closest to us. We ought to let love push us towards others who may be a source of doubt for us.
Introspection: Week 1
The only sure thing in life is a beginning and an ending. Fill your space with all the pieces of your puzzle. Then, allow the human attraction to assemble the view. Make room in your life for those who feel neglected. Amends is the way to a brighter future.
January 8 pass it on
black.jpgOur role in society is sometimes a reflection of our role at home. It can be said that the opposite is true too. Carry yourself with dignity and self-respect.
1 Peter 1:18 (KJV)
black.jpgOur Focus: Some of the things that matter most to us come by traditions. Historically, our fathers are the source of family traditions. Our mothers help to strengthen such traditional values.
Zeal January 9
black.jpgWe need not worry over a lack of zeal in our lives. For zeal, comes over time and effort. Therefore, labor not in a hurry- labor with patience and consistency.
Isaiah 9:7 (KJV)
black.jpgOur Focus: We must focus our concern on completing the assignment without hindering the results. This will increase our passion for the work. After all is said and done we will see that we are not in charge of the results. Our job is to do the work.
January 10 pay it forward
black.jpgWe can put an emphasis on wealth but, no two people see wealth the same way. There may be some who feel like they deserve more than the next person. I imagine that singles and couples will have different reasons to acquire more of it.
Psalm 49:6 (KJV)
black.jpgOur Focus: Resist the temptation to glorify your affluence. With grace, you may pay it forward to someone in need, including someone you know. A friend in need is a friend in deed
is what my dad told me.
You are getting better January 11
black.jpgThe world is not troubled by weather however; whether you seek forgiveness could trouble your world. Try to be more forgiving and you will be forgiven more. The way you treat others is the way others will treat you. Do not rely solely on your own ideas. My professor told me, ‘Shake a hand make a friend.’ The answers are inside you.
MATTHEW 26:28 (KJV)
black.jpgOur Focus: We were bound to address it, the need for forgiveness, in this conversation. The remission of sins is our ultimate quest of the spirit. We want to someday rest in unity with our GOD.
January 12 Reward
black.jpgWe gain much of our resources without offering much gratitude. The amends is obvious to all who can see. The cycle must be broken. Poverty is an attitude not just a condition. Some who claim poverty is not poor they make others poor. It is a vicious cycle that corrodes the morale of a society.
Psalm 19:11 (KJV)
black.jpgOur Focus: Make a resolution and a decision to do something nice for someone for no reason. Let the thought be your reward. Giving should come from the heart.
Reward January 13
black.jpgHave there been any calamities that were averted? Was it through a belief in a power not of your own? There are miracles experienced by many daily. Some things cannot be explained away yet, we call it Providence. Simply, look into the eyes of one who has survived such an incident and there you will see the source of such power.
Psalm 127:3 (KJV)
black.jpgOur Focus: We may ask ourselves about what we deserve then, more importantly, we can examine what we think we deserve. Your way is not always the best way.
January 14 I am needed?
black.jpgThe life we lead will eventually require us to sacrifice something for something else. These situations demand that we have prior experience with give-and-take. The
willing power will be there all we need to do is call on it. By humbling ourselves we receive access to that power as a source of guidance for our decision.
Romans 8:28 (KJV)
black.jpgOur Focus: You may assess your community structure. I will assess my environment. There can be similarities that do not fade in the disparaging over our differences.
Introspection: Week 2
Considering the challenges of our daily affairs, let us give time for the ones that yield the most fulfillments. There is a chance you will discover your own inclinations to contribute. Give yourself more to life and life will give more to you.
Get your weight up January 15
black.jpgDoes it ever feel like too much is being asked of you? How do we complete all of our tasks in order to feel a sense of accomplishment? That answer most likely will vary from one person to the next. What we need to remember is that we like everyone else have our limits. Trying to do it all at once will only make us feel overwhelmed. There is always a now then a later.
Psalm 18:32 (KJV)
black.jpgOur focus: Historically, weight has been associated with strength. Today, we know that size is not an indicator of strength. We want the strength but not the weight. Stay in alignment with your weight training goals. Big and strong is not what it seems.
January 16 Brains or brawn
black.jpgWe do not have to choose brains or brawn. Yet a wise man once said,
I will take brains over brawn any day. That wise man was my father (RIP). To live a victorious life; train your brain like you train your brawn.
Ecclesiastes 9:16 (KJV)
black.jpgOur Focus: One of the least admired attributes is brains. Our brains achieve so much more than muscle on a daily basis. It would be hard for us to accomplish much without it. Respect yourself by guarding your brain, for the body is only an extension of it.
The touch of GOD January 17
black.jpg"There are some of us who claim to have
