    My Best Mate

My dad he left when I was young,

I was brought up by my mum,

13 is not the age to be,

when your a rebel just like me.

Friday night the lads would wait,

    just outside the school gate,

tight blue jeans and leather clad,

    I was just another lad.

On a bike I would hop,

the pub it was our next stop,

    drinking, smoking, playing pool,

I was such a silly fool.

Out at night what a fight,

    not the best party night,

    Saturday– would come around,

    bodies scattered on the ground,

my mate no where to be found.

The doctors tried to save his life,

but he was never to survive,

the service was a moving sight,

I've never seen so many bikes.

I guess its true what they say,

    momories never fade away,

years have passed but I still see,

you are riding next to me.

    My Mum

    When I was young,

    my mum would say,

girl, you will grow up one day.

Bikes would call both night and day,

some of them would even stay,

the neighbours they would get annoyed,

when they heard, the bikes noise.

    Black leather they were everywhere,

none of them did really care,

that my mum just wasnt there,

    bikes would
