The Gospel According to Luke
Seeing that many have undertaken to put together a narrative about this; to make full in us that which was delivered to us; just as the eye witnesses and servants saw from the beginning; His separation from above to this existence. And I think after following each account, one after another, I can exactly write to you most excellent Theophilus that accurately known; also about who teaches this account with certainty.
A certain priest existed in the days of Herod the king of Judaea; he was named Zacharias out of the course of Abijah and his wife a daughter out of Aaron and her name was Elizabeth. Moreover both were innocent before GOD. He led blamelessly over all by his MASTER’S ordinances and commandments. But he had no offspring because Elizabeth was barren; and both of them were advanced in years. But in this priest’s existence in the order of his course he was before the GOD according to the custom of the priesthood determined by his lot. He came into the temple to burn incense to his MASTER for the multitude and all of HIS people were praying without during his hour of incense.
But his MASTER’S messenger stood appearing to him out of the incense altars right and disturbed Zacharias; he looked and fear fell upon him; but before he could speak the messenger said to him: Do not fear Zacharias; because of your need to obey your wife Elizabeth will bring forth a son and the name you will call him is John. And to you shall be joy and exultation and many of them upon this birth rejoice; for he shall be great before the MASTER and no wine and no strong drink shall he drink. Even out of his mother’s belly he is filled with the HOLY SPIRIT and he turns back many of the sons of Israel to be after the MASTER GOD. He goes on before them in the spirit of Elijah but HIS INHERENT POWER turns the father’s hearts back upon their children and with understanding the innocent are drawn off to make ready a people to build for the MASTER.
And Zacharias said to the messenger down from heaven: How do I know? For this cause I am an old man also my wife herself is advanced in years for this.
And the messenger answered him saying: I am Gabriel that stands before GOD and HE sent me to speak to you and bring good news to you of these things and behold you shall be silent and shall not be able to speak until that day when these things come into existence because you did not believe my account. Because this shall be made full for this is his time.
And the people were expecting Zacharias and wondered among themselves why he lingered in the temple. He came forth but was not able to speak and beckoned to them and those that accurately knew him perceived he had a vision in the temple. He stayed permanently blunted as the days of his priestly service were fulfilled even came with this existence into his own house. And with his wife Elizabeth this one was conceived. But that day she hid herself five months saying: I bring forth because the MASTER looked upon me. So with that day he took away my reproach among the human beings.
But in her sixth month the messenger Gabriel was sent by GOD into a city of Galilee named Nazareth; he neared a virgin betrothed to a male who was named Joseph out of the house of David and the virgin was named Miriam and the messenger came to her saying: Rejoice the MASTER makes you graceful among women with thine own blessing.
But know by this account she was greatly agitated and reasoned: What tribe existed with this one’s salutation?
And HIS messenger said: Do not fear Miriam for you find this blessing is from the GOD and behold conceived in your womb a Son and when brought forth He is called by this name, Jesus. This One shall be great and called Son of the HIGHEST. And the MASTER GOD gives Him the throne of His father David HIMSELF. And He is king over the house of Jacob into the forever and His kingdom shall not be ended.
But Miriam said to the messenger: For this cause how shall this be; since I have not known a man?
And the messenger answered saying: HIS HOLY SPIRIT comes upon you and the HIGHEST INHERENT POWER overshadows you; wherefore This One born is called HOLY and GOD’S Son. And behold Elizabeth your kinsman; she conceived a son in her old age and this is her sixth month and this one was called barren; all that uttered from the GOD is not impossible.
Moreover Miriam said: Behold MASTER your handmaid. Come! I exist according to THINE OWN utterances! And the messenger separated from her.
Miriam arose with the day and this one journeyed towards the hill country towards the city of Judah with haste and came into the house of Zacharias and greeted Elizabeth.
As Elizabeth heard this salutation of Miriam’s the child existing in her womb leaped and filled Elizabeth with the HOLY SPIRIT and speaking out in a great voice she said: Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit in your womb. But how is it that the mother of his Master has come to me? I behold His existence; for as the sound of your salutation came into my ears the baby in my womb leaped with exultation and blessed me to believe He will be the fulfillment of that uttered from the MASTER.
Miriam said: My heart magnifies the MASTER and my spirit exults upon the GOD my SAVIOR because HE looked upon this handmaid’s lowness. For behold by HIS SEPARATION at this time all the generations call me blessed; because I bring forth the Magnificent and the Mighty named Holy Himself. HIS Mercy is generation to generation. And these fear HIM that brings forth HIS Mighty Arm; with Him those arrogant of mind and heart are scattered abroad, taken down and separated from princely thrones but lifts up the lowly, fills up the hungry with good things. But the rich HE sends away empty. Children of Israel lay hold of HIS Mercy and just as HE spoke to our father Abraham remember HIS seed is for the forever.
And Miriam remained with her about three months then returned to her house.
But Elizabeth fulfilled the time and delivered his son and her neighbors and kinsmen heard that the MASTER magnified mercy to her and they rejoiced with her. And day eight of his existence came and she brought forth the child for circumcision and with that he was called by his father’s name Zacharias. But his mother answered saying: No! Rather he is called John.
But these said to her: That no one who is in your kinship is called that name.
To this one’s father these nodded and said: How will he be called?
However he asked for a writing table and wrote saying: John is the name. And all of them marveled. Moreover; his mouth immediately opened and his tongue uttered praise to the GOD.
Upon all his neighbors and themselves fear came into existence and afterwards in the hill country of Judaea all conversed together on his sayings. All that heard set these sayings in their hearts but with anxiety they said: For what cause will this child be with the MASTER’S Hand?
And Zacharias, his father, filled with the HOLY SPIRIT spoke prophesy: The MASTER GOD blessed Israel; because HE looks upon the people and brings them forth to redemption and raised up HIS Horn of deliverance with us, his children, from the house of David just as was spoken through the mouths of HIS holy spokesmen. HE separates forever; for deliverance of us out of our hating and out of every hand that hates
