About the author and translator:

Jianhui Gao, male, 65 years old. He was born in Shouning County, Fujian Province, China. He is a graduate of regular college course, majoring in English and obtains the qualification of senior English teacher in high school. He taught English in the No. 4 High School, Jiangle County, Fujian Province until July, the year 2010. He has been out to grass since July, 2010. He has published some poems and proses in some journals and newspapers, and published the poetry anthology of (The Gracile, Long Neck of a Thing) (Chinese to English).

About the translator:

ChenXin, female, born in the nineteen seventies. She is Mr. Gao’s niece. She graduated from English major in Foreign Languages Department in FuZhou University, Fujian Province in the year 1994. She has rich working experience in foreign trade English. Then she has been to England (the UK) for studying and has obtained MBA (Master of Business Administration). Now she works in a foreign enterprise in Beijing, China. One of the English translator of the poetry anthology of ( The Gracile, Long Neck of a Thing ) (Chinese to English), also one of the English translator of this book, in which the English translation is provided too.

In the past, I spent my spare time in writing something as an amateur writer and has mainly published some poems and proses. Writing short stories has been my another try since I was retired. In this book, except (The Iron-Smelting Factory’s Brick Tower) and (A fantastic Love Affair in a County Town), other three pieces reflect more or less today’s people life in a county or a city in China in some aspects. I wish the readers would like it, which was my previous thinking for writing the book.
