Biofertiliser
The health of soil in the developing world could be dramatically improved if all farmers empowered with today’s essential liquid biofertilisers information. That information has now been brought together in FACTS FOR LIQUID BIOFERTILISER
in the 67th year of independence of India and 43 years after the term "Green Revolution" which fed the India, was coined, when we entering into second decade of 21st century - new millennium.
Around 170 organizations in 24 countries are engaged in commercial production of liquid biofertilizers. NifTAL (U.S.A) has played a major role in the popularization of Rhizobium inoculants as biofertilser. The international Nitrogen Initiative (INI) was set up to optimise the benefits of nitrogen while minimising its harmful side effects. The Scientific Committee On Problems of the Environments (SCOPE) and International Geo sphere-Biosphere Programmes (IGBP) ultimately become the sponsors of such new initiatives.
A liquid biofertilizer is a liquid formulation containing the dormant form of desire microorganism and their nutrients along with the substance that encourage formation of resting spores or cyst for longer shelf life and tolerance to adverse conditions. The dormant farm reaching the soil, germinate to produce fresh batch of active cells, These cells grow and multiply by utilsing the carbon source in the soil
.
Facts for liquid biofertiliser narrates key challenges and opportunities in the farmer inputs field in the next coming years for developing an appropriate and road map to articulate role of liquid biofertilser in shaping the future of soils health.
F ACTS FOR LIQUID BIOFERTILISER is challenge to communicators of all kinds - agriculturist, extension staff, biofertiliser’s producers, agricultural universities, all Krishi Kendra’s, voluntary organisations, mass and social media. It is for all those who can help to make its contents part of every farmer’s basic liquid biofertiliser knowledge at affordable price.
Turning farmers aspiration into achievements and growing in harmony with environment.
