    Intro

I have a lot to cover in this book so I think I’m going to jump right into it…

So the first thing I want to do is tell you about a few things and a few people that first impressed upon me as far as hustling is concerned…

The first person I want to tell you about is Fred… I want to share with you how Fred inspired me, and gave me my first spark of curiosity about true hustling…

    Fred:

I want to tell yall about the first hustler I ever met that first made me realize that there was such a

Person as a hustler that didn’t sell drugs… because before I met this guy I assumed a hustler was a

Person who got his money selling nickels and dimes on the corner… Prior to him I had met plenty of

A hustler in my life and that goes without saying growing up we had our neighborhood ghetto

Celebrities, some that use to get money and many that pretended to get money (fronting) and these

Guys were known for flashy cars nice clothes and plenty of women and known as street hustlers… But

Even at a young age I begin to examine this word hustler… And realized how broad the spectrum was so

Back to the first guy I ever met that gave me another understanding of what true hustle was… .

    This guy’s name was Fred…

Hmmm and to be honest I never even knew his last name all I know is that he lived on my old block

(Magnolia street) when I was around hmmm I say 16 or 17… every day I would see this guy walking out the block early in the morning then walking back in late in the evening… His clothes were always full of paint stains and he was always alone and he kept to his self…

He seemed to always have pep to his step as if he was always in a hurry coming or going… He also seemed to have a melody to his stride as if he had music in his head all the time. Seemed like a easy going good natured dude and everyday it would be the same thing back and forth.

One day I decided to call out to the dude…

Yo! Dude what’s up with u?

    He said…

    Who me?

I’m like yea you… ay yo tell me something… where do u be going everyday? work?

    He said… of course!

    I said… o so I take it u paint shit?

He said yea that’s what I do I paint shit…

I’m like well where do u work?

He goes well it depends on the day or the situation…

    I’m
