Chapter 1

Payless Heating And Cooling

It’s funny how your life can change from one life style to another, JC didn’t know his life was about to change forever when he went to repair his brother’s air-condition. He knew his brother sold drugs, but he had never sold drugs. He own his on business, working as a heating and cooling man.

Who is it? Said Cookie, JC’s brother’s wife.

Payless Heating and Cooling, said JC, dressed in his new work uniform and looking very professional.

Cookie open the door with a big smile on her face: JC, come on in here, your brother ain’t here!"

JC: What’s up sister-in-law?

Cookie: Oh, im good, i’m good, i want you to meet my best friend Barbara. Barbara this is JC, my brother-in-law."

Nice meeting you Barbara, said JC as he reached for her hand and kissed it. Where you been all my life? JC stared hard into Barbara’s eyes.

Cookie: Billy Dee, Billy Dee Williams, air-condition."

JC: Believe me, i don’t act like this everyday, but i know what i like. Alright Cookie, let me give Barbara my card. Barbara, call me if you need anything."

Barbara took the card real sexy like as she stared hard into JC’s eyes: I will JC, you have a nice day."

Right as JC was putting his tools away his brother showed up with his friend Willie, Barbara’s first and only man for eight years. Old Crow, JC’s brother sold heroin with Willie.

Old Crow: Hey, you hook me up?

JC: You good to go, my brother!

Old Crow: Right on. You going to Obama party tonight?

JC: You know it!

Old Crow: Cool, so i’ll see you at the club, This IS IT. Hey Willie, if you ever need any work, call Payless Heating and Cooling."

Everybody start laughing as JC and Willie looked each other in the eyes real hard and shook hands.

JC: Alright, i’ll see you later.

JC couldn’t believe how the drug life had changed his brother over the years. Life for the black man in ST. Louis hadn’t been that good at all. It seem the only jobs available were temporary jobs, and most of them were taken by the women, which made them the head of the household. This in its self is devastating to any man’s ego. Being that if a man couldn’t provide for his family made him feel psychologically less than a man. In every man’s mind, if he couldn’t provide for his wife and kids, he felt less than a man, so many turn to drugs and alcohol to escape the pain and agony of life.

Many people wonder why a good man turn to drugs; just take his job and stop his ability to provide for his family and you’ll see the change in that man. Many have killed their family;not to mention, the fast pace of today’s world. How technology has changed the world, for the uneducated, he has very few options, he can sell drugs or steal, and go to prison for the rest of his life. Many of our black men have been so brain-washed to where all they think about is committing genicide among their own people. Its their everyday thinking in the black community; to kill and hurt their own people, while at the same time loving the white man’s wipe. One black man in the ghetto disrespect another, the penalty is death, simply because of the pressure that’s been put on the black-man. JC hated the fact that his own brother had become that deadly black-man in the city of ST. Louis. He had kept his distance from his brother’s life style, but soon all that was about to change at the Obama party.

JC arrived at the club, This Is It, as he walked through the club just about everybody was talking about Obama and expressing their hopes and desires to each other. JC saw his brother sitting at a large table with his back to the wall. Cookie and Barbara saw JC coming toward them and told Old-Crow with excitement, he looked up at JC and smiled.

Old Crow: Damn man, its about time you made it!"

JC: Yeah, i’m hip. What’s up Cookie and Barbara?" He took his seat next to Barbara. She tried to hide her feelings and asked JC did he want a beer or something to drink, but before he could answer, First and Cum-Up came to the table.

JC: My people, i haven’t seen you two for awhile. Do you guys know that old man?

Cum-Up: Man, we know Old-Crow, that’s your oldest brother!"

yeah, we know Old-Crow. What about these sweet ladies? Said First as he looked at Barbara.

JC: I’m sorry, Barbara and Cookie, these crazy guys are my childhood friends from back in the day!"

Old Crow: Everybody get a drink and let us have a toast to Obama’s first year in office!

After everybody had their drink, everybody raised their glass in the air and said at the same time, To Obama!

Barbara: I can tell you one thing, the White House ain’t never worked so hard in the past on health care and foreign policy.

Cookie: Yeah, i’m hip, because Air Force One, hasn’t had any rest! I mean, it’s flying all over the world none stop."

Barbara: Yeah, Obama is sending shock waves through the White House and Congress.

Old Crow notice Barbara and JC were looking at each other real serious, so him and Cookie looked at each other as if what’s going on with them two.

First: Look at that fine lady on the dance floor.

Cum Up: Which one!

First The one in the white dress!"

Yeah, i’m sorry people, but i got to get on the dance floor, " said Cum-Up as he got up from his seat.

JC asked Barbara for her hand on the dance floor. Barbara was delighted as she took his hand real sexy like, as she stared real hard into his eyes. Old Crow and Cookie just looked at each other and took a big drink and said at the same time, Willie is gonna kill they ass!

That’s my dog, when he want a woman, he don’t waste no time, said First as he drunk his beer.

Cookie: baby, baby, look how close they’re dancing with each other! Hell, they make me wanna dance with my man!

Old Crow got up from his seat and asked First to watch the table while he dance with Cookie.

After Cookie and Old Crow had finish dancing, they noticed JC and Barbara hadn’t made it back to the table, they saw Cum-Up sitting at the bar with the lady in the white dress, but they couldn’t understand where JC and Barbara had disappeared to and First was noticing their concern.

In the mean time, JC and Barbara had went outside the club for some fresh air. As they stood in front of the club, they began to look at each other with very strong desires. JC took her hand and pulled her close to him;Barbara pulled away from him to resist him, but he knew she wanted him just as bad as he wanted her, so he pretended she had something in her hair and pulled her close and kissed her hard and deeply.

Barbara struggle to end the kiss, but soon she felt her self wanting more. JC end the kiss and asked Barbara to come to his house for dinner one day. She told him she didn’t think that would be a good idea. JC asked her to call him if she changed her mind. She told him she would think about it with a big smile on her face, as they both walked back into the club.

For the next three days Barbara felt like a dope fiend, she couldn’t take her mind off JC. Barbara’s mind would go from JC to that kiss that night at the club.

Mean while, JC was working as usual, doing repairs on his four family flat apartment. He thought about Barbara, but he didn’t think she would call; being that she had a man, and had been with Willie since she graduated from high school. JC always had different women in his life, but when he thought about Barbara he would find himself thinking about her smile and her sexy walk.

On his way home from work his phone rung and it was Barbara.

Barbara: Hey baby, i couldn’t wait another day without hearing your voice again. I hope i was the last woman you kissed in the past three days."

JC: Barbara, i can’t believe you called me, i miss you so much and i can’t explain why!"

Barbara: Yeah, i feel the same way. Do you have time to meet me at the Steak House on Grand and Washington?"

JC: Sure, but hey baby, i cook the best steak in town; you can come to my place about seven o’clock, and i’ll give you my best service."

Barbara: O’kay JC, i’ll be there, but i can’t stay too long. Alright?"

JC: Alright, a drive by is cool for now, i just hope your loving ain’t habit forming.

Barbara: You so crazy! What’s the address, play boy?

JC: 1407 0’Fallon.

After JC gave Barbara his address and asked her not to have him waiting. As he was driving down the street, he notice Juicey coming out of church’s chicken, so he pull over and blew his horn, Juicey looked to her left and right and saw JC’s van.

Juicey: Hi baby, did you miss me or you need me to get you some more contracts?

JC: Juicey, Juicey, now you know how i feel about you! Come on now and get in the van, I need to talk to you about some business!

Juicey: Well, you need to make it quick, because my chicken is getting cold!

JC looked real hard at her and pulled his tined eyeglasses to the end of his nose: Why you tripping? Now you know your phone is off and that jail house apartment complex you stay in, you can’t just walk in the building."

Juicey start moving her body in a seductive manner: That’s right Boo, i’m sorry, because i did lose my phone. What you want me to do?"

JC looked at her for a few moments and told her to have old man Bill steal three outside air-condition units from her apartment building and tell him to take them to the junk yard and John will pay him sixty dollars for each air-condition unit. Juicey asked JC what she was getting out of the deal? He asked her what did she want? She pause for a moment and told JC she wanted her Boo back, but she knew that would be impossible, so she just said just remember you owe me one;she kissed him on the lips and got out the van. Juicey knew JC was watching her walk away real sexy down the side walk in front of him, at the same time two cars were coming down the street east and west. The man in the car traveling east was with his wife and the car traveling west on the street was a man by himself, both cars ran into each other, because they were watching Juicey walking her sexy walk for JC.

The man with his wife was getting cursed out for looking at Juicey and having an accident. JC couldn’t believe them fools ran into each other; Juicey looked back at JC and covered her mouth, like she couldn’t believe her eyes. JC, after he was able to maneuver his van around the accident, he went to Big Dave Super Market to buy two nice steaks for him and Barbara’s dinner that evening.

JC: Big Dave, what’s up?

Big Dave: Hey, i’m kool. How things been with you?

JC: I can’t complain, man, i see you still got all these sexy ladies working around here."

Big Dave: You know it. "Hell, i feel if i got to be here all day, i whether be surrounded by all women.

JC: Yeah, i can understand that!"

Big Dave: So what can i help you with?

JC: Man, i need two nice steaks for a very hot date tonight."

Big Dave: Look at you, you still putting it down like that!

JC: Hey, a man can’t live off bread alone."

Big Dave: Key Key, look in the cooler and get me two nice steaks.

Key Key: Alright Daddy! She walked away real sexy.

Two hours later, JC had cooked the steaks and set the diningroom table with twelve beautiful roses. He couldn’t understand why Barbara stayed on his mind so much and why he couldn’t wait to see her sexy smile.

Just before the door bell rung, he realize he didn’t have any cologne on, as he was putting his cologne on the door bell rung; he realized when he heard the door bell ring, he had put on too much cologne.

When JC open the door for Barbara, she looked at him real sexy with them beautiful brown eyes and asked was this Payless Heating and Cooling?"

JC: Yes yes, you got the right place my sweet lady! Bring your sexy self in here woman!"

Man, you look good in that sun-dress, they embraced and kissed.

Barbara: Ooh Baby you smell so good, i like your cologne.

JC: I’m glad you like it, look what i got for my Baby!"

Barbara: JC i love roses; i can’t lie, i haven’t had roses for awhile. Barbara took one of the roses out of the vase and put it to her nose and smelt it.

JC: Wait until you taste this steak! JC pulled her seat back at the diningroom table. After JC had prepared both steak dinners he turn on the television so they could watch some news.

Barbara: JC this steak is real good and tender. How did you learn to cook so good?"

JC: I watched my mama cooking in the kitchen all the time, she usta tell me all the time, you’ll never know when you need to do your own cooking in life.

Barbara: Your mother was very wise. All week on the news, they been talking about same sex marriage. What you think about same sex marriage?

JC: I feel the institution of marriage wasn’t meant for that purpose. I feel a marriage should be between a man and a woman.

Barbara: Well, what about a homosexual couple rasing a new born babe?

JC took a drink of wine and looked at Barbara real serious, i really don’t feel a homosexual should have any contact with a new born babe, because they mind are like a sponge. I mean, they take in any information as the truth and the way it is in life. I just feel a new born babe should be exposed to a heterosexual family first in life. At least until they have some type of knowledge about right and wrong for themself as an individual. In my own personal opinion, i feel same sex marriage is a evil act of Satan. I mean, God created a asshole for one purpose and one purpose only, and that’s the way it is, Barbara start laughing at JC.

Barbara: I don’t think you can explain it any better then that. JC how long you been living by yourself?

JC looked at Barbara and smiled about her question: I was married very young and things just didn’t work out for us. When JC talked about his exwife, he seem to look right through Barbara, as if he was in a trans for a moment. After things didn’t work out i buried myself in my work;of course, i have a few women i go out with, but nothing serious. JC cut his steak and ate it with his baked potatoe laced with pure butter.

Barbara: JC i can live with this cooking, this steak is delicious. What you think about Steve Harvey new book? Do you agree with his philosophy? Think like a man and act like a lady.

JC: No i don’t, i mean, why a woman can’t think like a lady and act like a lady. I don’t think God made a mistake at all. Do you? They both start laughing. I don’t think my woman can please me thinking like a man. Not to mention, his radio show, i mean almost every morning Tommy blow his hot breath through the radio, saying ladies ladies ladies, how my ladies doing this morning?"

And poor Shirley Strawberry, you can hear it in her voice, she is so tired of saying we’re fine Tommy. Steve, he really think he’s standing on something playing Mrs. Odell; it just seem like he enjoy playing that old lady too much, i mean, it’s a habit he can’t shake. I Just feel a real man wouldn’t play like a woman all them years. I mean, it can’t be the money! I also feel he shouldn’t talk about Mrs. Strawberry’s breast so much. Its so disrespectful, he talk like he is jealous of her beautiful breast."

Barbara start laughing at JC talking about Steve Harvey.

What about tied tongue? Said Barbara laughing out loud.

JC: He never talk about white people, i mean, the butt end of his jokes are always black people." JC made his impression of Steve Harvey’s big lips, they both start laughing real loud.

At the same time Barbara knew she didn’t have that much time before she had to leave, so she stood up and told JC she hate to eat and run, but she had to go. JC stood up and pulled her close to his body and said in her ear real low, i think i want you in my life. Then JC looked her in her eyes with a hard stare and kissed her hard and deep as he held her body close. The powerful kiss had Barbara’s head spinning, she couldn’t believe how good she felt in JC’s arms. Barbara pushed away and looked at JC with a desire she hadn’t felt in years, so they kissed again real hard.

She knew she had to leave, she wanted so bad to stay in JC’s arms, she pushed him to end the kiss and said i can’t do this right now. JC pulled her close to him and told her he need her to touch his body and soul. He kissed her as he massaged her body. Barbara broke the kiss and walked real fast toward the door, as she open the door, she looked back at JC and said she’ll call him and left JC’s home.

Barbara knew it was time for business, she knew she had to be home for Willie, to have his back in drug world, the only life she knew. As Barbara was driving home she thought to herself how wet she felt between her legs and how bad she needed JC’s love; she thought about his touch and how he made her feel inside. She shook her head in disbelief, because she couldn’t believe how bad she wanted him.

When Barbara made it home Old-Crow and Willie were selling drugs like they had a license.

Barbara: Hey baby you hungry?

Willie: I’m cool, what about you Old-Crow?"
