A true story . . .
PRELUDE
This book is about the downfall of a nearly Perfect Family. A Family that at one time could be a Role Model as families go. Among its members is an example of corrupt morals and guidance. A perfect example of the old weathered cliché one rotten apple will spoil the barrel
, and the barrel in this case was apparently, the Perfect Family.
In all families, the strength and moral fiber comes from within the adults in charge, but with the changes that time brings, age and circumstance allow the old hidden evil of dysfunction in one to surface. Evil suppresses good, and under the guidance of this person, the deterioration begins.
This book is a true account of the downfall. Only the names have been changed.
The year was 1983 . . . .

REFLECTIONS
Dressed in her comfortable, loose bathing suit that showed signs of vigorous use, Julie sat on the weathered planks of the deck in the bright sunshine. It had been a year or more since she had sat doing nothing. Motivated by the need for accomplishment, there was never time for doing nothing. That day was like living in one of those fancy post cards for her, just sitting there gazing at the aqua color sea, the sand dunes covered with sea oats and the blue sky with its puffy white clouds. The breeze was sheer heaven, even thought the Mainland folks were sweltering in ninety-four degrees temperature.
Julie sat there and let her thoughts drift back to happy days at this little cottage by the sea. She knew she would miss this place since it had been sold, but things had changed in her life so drastically in the previous ten years that it was best to let go gently.
The Cottage and Julie had been through a lot together, being it was her only source of income for the previous years. Her entire life had been dedicated to raising her three children, which God had placed in her care at their birth. Having a work-a-holic for a Father, she felt that it was important that she give all of her love and attention to them. Having them ten years apart was like raising an only child.
Luke missed so much, but he never seemed to mind or notice. His work was his life and the books that Julie lugged home from the library weekly were his recreation, or so it appeared. It was some what shocking to Julie when she found out at the divorce proceedings that there were at various times, three affairs going on which Julie was completely unaware of. She wondered if it was possible to be married to someone thirty-eight years and not know them.
Luke always had a legitimate sounding reason for not being home. Julie believed him, but the truth had surfaced, and it was ugly. She was embarrassed to have been so gullible. She was a devout Catholic. Marriage and Loyalty are to her a lifelong commitment that ends in the death of one of the partners. It never entered into her mind that it could be otherwise.

MEETING THE BROTHERS
As Julie sat on the deck in the warm sunlight, she let herself daydream about her first meeting with Luke. She was seventeen years old. A senior in High School.
Luke had come from a dysfunctional family, growing up with no role model of a father. Living in Florida during a time when it was quite wild and anything was the rule as long as you didn’t get caught.
He and his brother George were best friends. George being older was the leader. The brothers seemed to be identical twins to anyone who first
