Creature Profiles

Hydra: Summoned by Drake. The Hydra is a creature with five scaly, elongated necks that connect to five ginormous cobra-looking heads. All five heads are connected into one green-scaly body that winds down into a long, dark-brown, scaly tail. Its whole body is covered in a slimy substance that reeks death.

Unicorn: Summoned by Whitney. The Unicorn is a tall white stallion that reeks of dirt and grass. It has a long horn on its fore-head that spirals up into a point a foot-and-a-half above its head that also looks like tree bark.

Phoenix: Summoned by Grant. The Phoenix is a gigantic bird of legend that is covered with red, yellow, and orange feathers that, in the sun, makes it look like it is on fire. The Phoenix smells like a mixture of kerosene and sulfur because it is said that it was born out of a volcano. It can also turn itself on fire.

Dragon: Summoned by Grey. The Dragon is a mythical creature that has a serpent-like head that connects into an elongated, scaly neck. Its body is built like a lions; the only two differences are that instead of fur, its body is covered in reddish scales and instead of paws, its feet are like an eagles, with sharpened claws. Its tail winds down into a spear tip. Its wings are leathery and red, more like a bird than a scaly. The Dragon smells of sulfur because it is said to like inside volcanic caves.

Willawaw: Summoned by Ann. The Willawaw is a gigantic silver and black striped owl that is said to hold mystical power. Its talons are the color of death and are great for fighting enemies. Its eyes are the most memorable. Instead of regular eyes, its eyes are pure, vibrant, and glowing yellow that strike fear into its prey. It smells of moisture and rock because of where it lives.

Centaur: Summoned by Seth. The Centaur is a half-humanoid half-horse being said to roam in ancient legends. From the waist up, it looks like a regular human torso and head that is covered finely in a layer of brown fur. Its arms are more of a stronger human with long claws instead of fingernails. From the waist down, the body and legs of a horse are in a coarse layer of brown fur. Its tail swoops up like a black whip. It smells of dirty-wet fur from its environment.

Albino Lynx: Summoned by Alec. The Albino Lynx is about three and a half feet tall. Its fur is long and florescent white with black circular patterns. Its head is more like a panthers, its snout is elongated but it is not as long as a dogs. Its eyes are slits, made especially for tracking its prey through the night. It has black tipped ears and has exceptional hearing. It smells of wet fur and water from living in the Himalayan Mountains.

Mongoose: Summoned by Lynn. Its body is long is made for fast running. It has four legs that have tiny, but very sharp claws. It has a very thick and fluffy tail. Its fur is a sandy brown, to camouflage itself into its barren surroundings. Its face looks more like a weasel with needle like teeth. It smells like a mixture of dust and blood from hunting snakes all day.

Pegasus: Summoned by Rayia. The Pegasus is a normal size, pure white horse with a white, straw-like tail that goes down to its knees. It has majestic white wings that are twelve feet long. It lives mainly in the sky, but comes down to earth to eat and sleep. It smells of wet fur because it passes through clouds when it flies. It is said to be one of the most ancient of all the creatures.

Thunderbird: Summoned by Quinn. The Thunderbird is a gigantic black-feathered bird with talons like swords and it has a wingspan of twenty four feet. It has a crow like face with beady black eyes and a beak strong enough to break concrete. It can store up electrical charges in its feathers.

Rainbowcrow: Summoned by Cherri. The Rainbowcrow is only about a foot tall, but what it lacks in height, it makes up in brains. It is a regular crow, with the small talons, the icepick like beak and a two foot wingspan. Its only difference from a regular crow is that every feather on its wings are different colors, no two feathers are the same color. It smells like rotted flesh from scavenging all day.

Griffin: Summoned by Mike. The Griffin is a creature with the body and tail of a lion with short, golden fur. Its back two paws have sharp claws attached. Its front two legs are of a bird, with white and black feathers that lead into golden colored feet that have four razor sharp talons. Its head is an eagle with white feathers and small, black beady eyes, and a golden beak. Its wings reach a wingspan of twenty two feet and it smells of blood from hunting for its food.

Gargoyle: Summoned by Reggie. The Gargoyle Is a demonic, humanoid creature made of pure stone. It has sharp claws for fingers and toes and needle like teeth. It has black slits for eyes and a scrunched up nose with a defined chin. It smells of sulfur and dirt from the cave it lives in.

Chimera: Summoned by Brook. The Chimera is a creature with a lion’s body. Its head is a lion head only with golden-brown fur. It has black leathery wings that have a wingspan of twenty feet. Its tail is a long snake body with a snake head on the end of it. The snake head also has a brain that helps it think. It smells of musty fur.

Sphinx: Summoned by Toby. The Sphinx is a creature with a cat-like body with light colored fur on four powerful legs connected to normal sized paws. It has a head of a humanoid creature with beady black eyes, a shriveled up nose, a large mouth filled with large teeth and a graceful jawline. It smells of decay because whatever skin it has left on it decays and falls off its body, revealing its light colored fur.

Manticore: Summoned by Mark. The Manticore is a creature with a lion body which stands upright, with long limbs and a lion head. Its fur has a dark red tint to it, giving the appearance of blood. Its tail is a humongous scorpion tail with spikes all over it. It smells of poison a death because its spikes are covered with its venom.

Elephant: Summoned by Sophie. The Elephant is a creature with a humongous body with tree stump-like legs and a whip-like tail. Its skin is all dried out and leathery in a gray tint. Its face has large, round dark eyes. Its nose is a trunk that reaches almost to the ground where its two nostrils lie on the end of the trunk. It smells of sweet leather because of its hide.

Snow Wolf: Summoned by Aaron. The Snow Wolf has a regular wolf’s body. Its fur is super long and snow white. Its face is round on top and square at its chin, it has almost human looking eyes turned slightly upward, an elongated snout with razor sharp teeth. It also has a very long beard of white fur that sprouts out from under its chin. It smells like a wet dog because of where it lives and it has turquoise splotches of color throughout its fur.

Ibex: Summoned by Joyce. The Ibex is a creature that is a cross between a deer and a goat. It has a Gazelle type of body with rough short brown, tan, and black fur. Its legs are made especially made for climbing mountains. Its face looks like a goats with bar-code slits for pupils in its eyes. Its two horns are spiraled into points on top of its head, like the unicorn’s horn.

Cheetah: Summoned by Rose. The Cheetah is a creature whose body is like a big cat’s, with golden fur with black blotches littering its coat here and there. It can run exceptionally fast. Its face has two black circles for eyes, a scrunched up nose that senses its prey from far away, and a slightly elongated snout filled with razor sharp teeth. It smells of weeds from where it hunts for prey.

Dolphin: Summoned by Angelie. The Dolphin is a fish and a mammal because it lives under water but it must come up for air every few minutes. Its body is built like a large fish with two fins on either side of its body and a fin on top of it and under it. It has an elongated snout with normal chewing teeth, its body it the color of the ocean. It smells of saltwater from living in the ocean.

Jackalope: Summoned by Simon. The Jackalope is a white bellied rabbit with a tanned fur back with deer antlers coming out of its head, just beside its ears. It is said that the Jackalope roams the deserts in America, looking for a peaceful place to live. It smells of dirt and dust because of where it lives.

Okapi: Summoned by Kristie. The Okapi is a creature that is a combination of a Zebra and a Giraffe. All four of its horse type legs are zebra striped in black and white fur. Its body and neck are like a zebra, but its fur is an oak tree brown. Its head is like a giraffes but the fur on it is zebra striped black and white, with huge black eyes and a big mouth. It smells of a jungle because that is where it lives

Penguin: Summoned by Cleminth. The Penguin is a flightless bird that is about two and a half feet tall. It has orange feet and an orange beak. Its belly is white furred, while its flippers, back, and head are black furred. It lives at the South Pole, and it smells of saltwater because it hunts its prey in the sea.

Werewolf: Summoned by Oliver. The Werewolf is a humanoid wolf that stands on its two back legs and is as strong as a bulldozer. Its fur is long and coarse, the color of night. It is about eleven feet tall and has massive claws that can rip through anything. Its face has two black eyes, a long snout like a wolf, and ears that can hear the slightest movement. It smells of a forest because it lives in the middle of one.

I ’m inside of the base, Myth. My mission, to be the inside man for the Dark Forces, in exchange for keeping my sister alive. I only remember having intense pain all over my body, and I wake up inside of a hospital ward in a place that is not familiar. I rise up out of my bed and I look around. I see three other people, around my age, sleeping in the beds next to mine. Or are they sleeping? I have no clue. My mind instantly goes into survival mode; my mind screams at me to get out of
