He made up his mind to be the best. He wanted to play baseball and became a part of history. Mr. Mile is a prominent leader in the city of San Antonio, Texas. He is legendary for hitting eleven home runs in eleven straight games. He played alongside of many of baseball greats: Jackie Robinson, Hank Aaron, Ernie Banks, Josh Gibson, and Satchel Paige.
With his strong faith in God and belief in education, Miles encourages youth by his mott: "It's Cool To Stay In School." With a sense of humor, positive thoughts and actions he has never been given up on his dreams.

THE NEGRO LEAGUE
John Mule
Miles played with The Chicago American Giants of the Negro League from 1946-1949. He was given the name of Mule
by his manager, Jim Candy
Taylor; after observing young Miles hit the ball, Candy
remarked, He hits the ball like a mule kicks.
Miles became famous after hitting two home runs in one ball game.
John Miles is legendary for hitting eleven home runs in eleven straight games. He played alongside many of baseball’s greats: Jackie Robinson, Hank Aaron, Ernie Banks, Josh Gibson, Satchel Paige.
During his career, John Miles performed at various ball fields: Yankee Stadium, Polo Grounds, New York, Griffith Stadium, Municipal Stadium, Cleveland, Ohio and The Chicago American Giants
