Love into Poetry: Special Mother's Day Poems and Others in Rhyme
()
About this ebook
Laguna Woods, CA Make Mother and Grandmother feel all the more special with this new selection of poems heralding their unselfish love. Celeste Nadine Galucci, accomplished poet and ASCAP member, pays tribute to all mothers in her new poetry book Love into Poetry. This poetry collection is rich in imagery and profuse in love, respect, and gratitude for the special women in our lives. Bring a smile to their eyes with this new book as an extended celebration of Mothers Day.
From the poem Your Love To Me, Galucci employs similes to describe a mothers devotion, Like a symphony of violins/With the sweetest harmony contained therein/...Like a choir of birds in enchanting sound/... Beautiful words echoing all around/...Is your love to me. The book is actually composed of three parts. The first set of poems is for mothers, the second for grandmothers, and the third is a selection of poems that had been made by Galucci through the years. Having had a close relationship with her mother has inspired Galucci to create poems since she was a child. It was actually her mother who gave the title Love into Poetry, a fitting label for a daughters gratitude for the woman who loved and inspired her.
For Galucci, her mother had been a model of fortitude, faith in God, and love. In her childhood and teenage years, the poet had been stricken with debilitating diseases that doctors thought she would not live long. But her mother kept her faith and prayed for her child all along. In her new book of poetry, Galucci dedicates her works to the woman who had touched her life most. It is also to her mother that Celeste owes her artist blood. The late Patty S. Galucci was an ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers) member and wrote numerous songs.

ABOUT CELESTE NADINE …
Celeste Nadine Gallucci was born in Woodbury, New Jersey in 1939 and was raised in Malaga, New Jersey, a town half way between historic Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and the famous Atlantic City. She was born into a musically talented family, some of whom write stories, plays and poetry, also. Her Mother, the late Patty S. Gallucci, was an ASCAP songwriter and wrote a vast amount of great songs.
As a child, Celeste wrote a few ditty-type poems, never dreaming that some of her future poems would someday be published in a book by Xlibris.
In 1949, while at camp, Celeste was stricken with polio and spinal meningitis (both at the same time), along with pneumonia. Her temperature was 108 degrees and she was unconscious for six days. Inflammation was in her brain. Her whole body was completely paralyzed, including tongue and all. Dr. Clemont Boland, who was the one who doctored Celeste while she was hospitalized, got on his knees and prayed, „Dear Lord, please show me what to do for this child. They gave her all kinds of drugs that were available at that time. Her Mother‘s faith was tried, and very strong. Yes, her Mom, Patty, had to come to the place where she was ready to give up her daughter to God, and found this very difficult, but said, „Lord, Thy will be done.
That‘s when Celeste became conscious, and she was and is a living miracle. While hospitalized, she wrote cute little poems about all her nurses.
Then … at the age of 15 years, Celeste became very ill and suffered a nervous breakdown. She was in a complete catatonic state. Just as 5 years before, doctors told her mother to give up, and that her daughter was doomed to be a vegetable. Again,
Patty had strong faith in God for her daughter to recover; almost constantly she prayed, leaving the matter in God’s hands. Well, in 1959, Japan introduced the USA to the medication called Compazine, and it agreed with Celeste.
