inspiration, romance, love and friendship, success
and failure, achievement and disappointment.
This is a book for everyone who ever attended
school, at an alma mater, and can read poetry in
at least one of the three languages in which it is
originally written.
Anthony Noriega-Carranza
Anthony Noriega-Carranza, también autor de “ALMA MATER I; Poesía en Tres Idiomas”, (Xlibris, 2011), nació en Barranquilla, Colombia. En “El retrato del fantasma”, Noriega Carranza recopila una serie de cuentos, memorias, y leyendas, las cuales le han merecido la ovación en varias ocasiones de críticos como el ya fallecido Germán Vargas Cantillo, integrante del llamado Grupo de Barranquilla, del cual también hicieron parte Gabriel García Márquez y Alvaro Cepeda Samudio. Tras ganar el Premio Nacional de Cuento de la Universidad del Valle, Vargas Cantillo escribió en su columna Un Día Más del diario El Heraldo de Barranquilla: “y el hecho que el jurado haya escogido el [cuento] de Noriega-Carranza merece ser señalado”.
