INTRODUCTION
INTRODUCTION
It is with great respect and much love towards Michael Jackson
and others like him, who struggle with the disorders mentioned throughout this book, only to find themselves at the mercy of others in one way or another, that I have written this book. On his behalf and others I am trying to create an awareness to the entire world about such things as depression, anxiety, insomnia, just to name a few. People must become more AWARE of the seriousness of these disorders in order to save lives. While it is clear that Michael had much going on in his life before his untimely death, things that would have only added to his disorders. It’s not entirely clear to me just what happened to our beloved Michael. But it is definitely my intention to bring to light just how these disorders have and continue to effect not just him but thousands and thousands of others as well. These disorders may or may not have been a contributing factor in what lead Michael to his sudden and totally unexpected passing. From my heart to yours, he was one of the most influential people of our times. He like so many others in the world reached out for help only to find people really did not have the time to care about him personally, it was all about what he could do for them, as is the story amongst others suffering from these disorders as well. Disorders that are seen as weaknesses and too often people are taken advantage of because of it. They are too easily dismissed and ignored. It is time to speak out and bring a larger AWARENESS to them. There is no life that should ever have a price tag attached to it. We are all human and should be treated equal in our efforts to survive. It is with admiration toward Michael Jackson, that I have the world see him as more than just an Idol, he needs to be recognized and remembered as Michael Jackson the (man). This as seen through the eyes of a stranger . . . who sees into the hearts of others.
There are no conceivable words to describe the disturbing emotions that have consumed me since the death of Michael Jackson on June 25, 2009. His untimely passing has left my soul empty and with incomprehensible feelings. I was so deeply saddened and disturbed at the same time, feeling as though I had known him for a lifetime on a personal level. Something continues to tear at my heart; especially in the evenings when all my activity had ceased and I was alone with my emotions. Being alone at home, I would often have a sick, gut wrenching knot in my stomach as though, something or someone was tugging at my heart strings (feeling of great despair) unable to come to terms with this I started writing my feelings down in a notebook and no matter how hard I tried, I could not put my pencil down. Often in the middle of the night I would wake with a simple line in my head and have to write it down because it appeared too important to wait . . . Seven months after Michaels death I am still driven to continue writing. Whether my writing is a mission from GOD, Michael, or just my own feelings I would like to share with the world, the Michael Jackson I knew. In doing so I hope to shed some light on Michael Jackson (the man) as well as the deep connection people who suffer from emotional and physical disorders had with him.
I feel a strong need to share with people the side of Michael Jackson they often weren’t aware of, a side, few people took the time to know. While Michael was a larger than life celebrity, always in the public eye, He was most importantly a human being. Behind all the glamour and glory there was a person who struggled with life on a daily basis, a person still in search of himself. People do get lost in their quest to overcome life’s personal tragedies, while getting caught up in even more tragedy, because life can be so very cruel and unforgiving. The disorders I’m referring to are; depression, anxiety, insomia, and loneliness. Each in their own way are serious and self consuming. Often in combinations they are truly life threatening, not to be taken lightly! Michael, suffered deeply from all of the above, amongst other illnesses. This book was not created to judge or convict Michael of anything, LORD knows I loved and understood him sincerely and completely . . . I will never believe that he wanted to die, and i will always believe that he could have been saved.
While other writers find it necessary to cash in on Michael Jackson King of Pop
it is not my intention to cash in on anything. My goal is that of awareness
and heart felt compassion for a man that gave so much to others in so many different ways without prejudice to any walk of life. He truly loved the world and in return all he wanted was understanding, compassion, and to be loved and excepted for the man that he was. Surely, he found love through his fans and he was appreciative of it. There was something deep down inside, a void that he struggled to fill, a sense of contentment, fulfillment, happiness. Often his pureness, kindness, gentleness, and heartfelt compassion for the world were mistaken as weaknesses. There are many people who have the same compassion towards life, and like Michael they become victims of their environments.
For me, Michael Jackson was an inspiration because he was able to convey his feelings through his music, which was truly heart wrenching. Often having an underlining message. I felt so strongly that the emotion in it was pure and genuinely heart felt. I have seen Michael break down and cry on stage. I have seen Michael angry. I have seen Michael embarrassed. I have seen Michael excited. I have seen myself, as well as others through Michael. Once, he spoke of his plastic surgeries saying, he wanted everyone to be able to see a part of themselves in him. While he had the right idea he had the wrong anatomy part. The heart would have been a much more appropriate place, after all his dream was to heal the world, and in order to achieve that we must get to the hearts of others. Change begins within oneself, it can only progress through awareness and understanding. It’s my opinion Michael unknowingly broke down emotional barriers for people like ourselves who too have experienced these crippling disorders. He paved a road for us to follow, my message from him to you would be, let us make others aware of just how real these disorders are and how seriously they attack our lives, our very essence.
4.jpgM.J HAD A PLAN
M.J had a plan to rescue our beloved land,
It started with a white glove he wore on
His right hand, to a moonwalk oh so grand
He felt it was time to take a stand
To create a better land
M.J saw the way but, he couldn’t stay
From his dream we need not sway,
Thankfulness will come one day
Oh lord, we can only pray
When M.J passed way no one would be
Led astray. For in the end let us
Rejoice, raising our arms, we will say
M.J paved the way
To this glorious day
A day that the world will find unity and peace within itself.

Michael saw the goodness in life he also saw the tragedy. He felt these things deep down in his soul. He was totally in touch with the world and its needs. But he knew that fixing it would have to start right here on earth. I am not trying to present him as god, but as a gift from god. His heart ached for what this world had so selfishly become, he could not comprehend the way people threw each other away like yesterdays trash, or the way people judged, convicted, and deprived each other of love and understanding, compassion and credibility.
While it’s comforting to some and unjust to others, Michael suffered the same misfortune that touches many of our lives. How we arrive at this place we call hell differs for each of us but the effects are the same, the feelings of despair, loneliness, anger, hurt, unworthiness, hopelessness, and the never ending quench to be loved, each and every feeling is real, the aches and pains associated with them are genuine.
