About this ebook

In this book, I have tried to convince people that the Quran is the most authentic testimony of God or nature or, in the language of Albert Einstein, the testimony from the superior reasoning power. And in this regard, I have proven that the revelations in the Quran contain deep scientific insights as each verse includes all minute scientific details that were later uncovered by scientists. I have elaborated that if scientific knowledge is contradictory to the views of the Quran, its not at all because of faulty and premature declarations in the Quran. Rather, the opposite may be true as science is dependent on tools and techniques designed by humans frail and feeble minds, and many of the scientific advices and recommendations that were once valid are now obsolete as you can see in drugs of pharmacological origin, the utilization of cosmetics that were once recommended and now declared as harmful, and lots of other examples.

In accomplishing this task, I have supported my views on the basis of my own observations of natural phenomena, deep studies on the subjects, and the products of meticulous thinking. My book can benefit people in two ways. First, it can consolidate the faith of those who believe in the Quran and God. Second, it can convince nonbelievers to consider the Quran as a scientifically reasonable book revealed onto the heart of the prophet solely and exclusively by the supreme authority who claims responsibility of governance of all the phenomena on earth and the heavens.

Another interesting area in this book deals with the physical health benefits embedded in the rituals and practices of Islam, told in a convincing tone so that it can draw our attention toward the practical aspects of religion. This you can see in chapters on breastfeeding, the use of honey as a medicine, and in the chapter Recommendations of Islamic Sharia: Health Benefits.

This book is dedicated to the soul of my clergy teacher and the then mentor of my thoughts—the late Maulana Agha Jaffer Naqvi. However restless and tensed I used to be, a sight on his face used to act like a sedative drug that used to calm down my emotions. There was light (noor) on his face, the light of mercy of his Lord. It was just like the sun capacitating several moons of the planetary system to reflect this light to the viewers; the moons represented his followers and pupils at that time. The way he acquired this light was through total abstinence from the mortal material gains and the lust of transient pleasures of the world and through sustained pondering into natural phenomena compounded by deep thinking into the verses of the Quran. The two, combined together, transformed him into a sunlike existence and made him the producer of light (noor).

I remained attached to him for eleven years of my life—day in and day out, right from puberty till the end of adolescence. Though I was able to drink some of the wine that his Lord fed to his heart, I never acquired the rank he was awarded by the Lord even through repeated mimicry of his practices. However, he succeeded in creating an everlasting thirst in my heart that was never ever satisfied, and I always remained in search of divine intimacy. Obviously, it was never possible without the standard route to nirvana that I often state as a route involving total abstinence from worldly desires.

This book, however, is an attempt to highlight some of the essence of my own observation, meticulous thinking, and self-pondering into natural phenomena.

    SURAH AL-BAQARAH

And the mothers should suckle their children for two whole years for her who wishes to complete the duration of suckling and their livelihood and clothing must be borne by the father acceding to traditional and social norms; the pain endured by a soul is in accordance with one’s capability; neither shall a mother be made to suffer harm on account of her child, nor a father on account of his child and a similar duty on the heirs, but if both desire weaning by mutual consent and counsel there is no blame on them and if you wish to engage wet-nurse for your children, there is no blame on you as long as pay what was promised by you according to usage; and be careful of Allah and know that Allah sees what you do.

This verse of Quran has deliberately addressed, rather than resolved, a very important issue that has crippled medical professionals and nutritionists and social workers since decades. Who doesn’t know about the importance and value of breastfeeding? But why we have failed to resolve it yet is because of our distance to Quran, leaving it totally at
