Owning A Cat - A Pet Cat Handbook For Complete Beginners - Greg Blake
Introduction
To decide which cat to get, you should first do some research on the various breeds that are available. Different breeds, like any other type of animal, can have different mannerisms and behaviors. There are many different breeds of cats to choose from, and whether you want a cat to keep as a pet or one that you can breed will heavily influence your decision.
Many of the most popular and common cat breeds are listed below to help you decide which cat will be the best fit for your life. This book contains a wealth of information that will help you decide what type of cat to get or even if a cat is right for your life right now.
You will find information on how to deal with a new kitten, how to groom your cat, what to feed your cat, and much more useful information that will help you prepare for your new addition. This book's information is also useful for those who already own a cat but have a few questions.
Chapter 1: Popular Cat Breeds
Abyssinian
A cat sitting on a black surface Description automatically generated with low confidenceThe Abyssinian is a very active and playful breed with a lot of energy. This cat is an excellent choice if you want a fun and entertaining feline companion. Aside from that, the Abyssinian is a very attractive cat. They are medium-sized cats with beautiful green and gold almond-shaped eyes and a striking ticked pattern. In general, there are three different breed colors.
The first is called ruddy, and it describes a cat that is orange and brown with dark brown or black markings. This breed's second color is red; the cat has warm-colored fur with chocolate brown spots. The last color of this breed is blue. This is a one-of-a-kind color in which the cat appears to be a mix of different shades of slate blue. They are graceful and regal-looking felines with soft, silky coats and medium-length hair.
Burmese
A cat lying on a carpet Description automatically generated with medium confidenceA Burmese may be just what you're looking for if you want a more affectionate cat that won't freak out and claw you. The Burmese is a medium-sized dog with a muscular build. Because they have a more solid build, you may be surprised when you pick them up and feel the full impact of their weight. They have a short, glossy coat that makes them quite attractive. Over time, breeding has resulted in three distinct types of Burmese: contemporary, traditional, and European.
The modern has a stockier build, a rounded head, and very pronounced round and spaced eyes. They come in a variety of colors, including sable, champagne, blue, and platinum. The traditional is more closely related to the original breed. They have a more sturdy yet muscular build, as well as a very different head. The traditional breed, as opposed to the contemporary, has a more rounded head and a fuller face. They are available in the same colors as the modern breed. As the name implies, Europeans take on a more foreign appearance.
The European cat has a more elegant appearance and a slim body type. Their eyes have a slightly slanted appearance and come in a variety of colors, including brown, blue, chocolate, lilac, red, cream, seal tortie, brown tortie, blue tortie, chocolate tortie, and lilac tortie. They are not only beautiful, but they are also very loving and will follow you wherever you go. They enjoy spending time with their owners and are very intelligent cats who make excellent companions.
