1. Introduction

This is a step by step treatment of the subject to draw a picture of the way the theory of Anthropogenic Global warming (AGW) has been concocted and a review of the real science (which has not been made clear by the authorities and the media in general).

We have been deceived, or rather lied to, to convince us of the theory of AGW or human caused global warming. The deception is being promoted by the deliberate misinterpretation of data to support the theory and the constant promotion of it in a concentrated campaign of propaganda.

How and why has this happened? This is a fundamental question and the following is a summary of explanations and later step wise comments and assessments of the relevant points to pitch against the theory and the issues raised.

The propaganda is in the form of alarmism, to instil fear, in order to get attention and control the presentation of the theory. Later the arguments will be covered to challenge and defeat the basic theory and the many claims raised by the alarmists and by reference to the measurement and historical data records which do not support AGW by sensible and balanced interpretation. It will also expose the misrepresented and misleading claims of the theorists and alarmists.

The theory of human made climate change is the issue. It blames mankind, its way of life in the modern world, of causing global warming with the prospect of reversing it by challenging human behaviour. It ignores or relegates natural climate influences, which have materially more impact than humans, to be subordinate to human activities and it side steps the millions of years of historical climate variations (often large differences) when humans and modern life styles did not exist and tries to put any climate pattern changes down solely to humans.

It also focuses on carbon dioxide CO2 as the main if not only factor in the cause of planetary surface temperatures and puts this squarely on human activities and industrial processes. This, however, is not a proven causal link between CO2 concentrations and surface temperatures as historical data shows there is no direct correlation. CO2 is portrayed as an evil substance but it is essential in promoting vegetation growth and at currently 400 parts per million level (0.04%) it is well below historical range levels and well below peak levels.

Who are the protagonists of this? It is organisations who should know better. The key one being the Intergovernmental Panel for Climate Change (IPCC) part of the United Nations organisation. Associated establishments such as East Anglia University (EAU) have dedicated departments involved in climate studies and integrate with the IPCC. Anti-capitalist supporters find it a useful argument to try to defeat the world capital and financial structures and organisations like Greenpeace also use the climate threat to help promote its agenda. In general, left wing leaning followers will also identify with the ‘cause’.

Additionally, the likes of Al Gore, who famously produced a film Inconvenient Truth gave the alarmists a focal point to promote AGW. Incidentally, all the points he made in his film have been defeated by the real science analysis and it was later shown that Mr Gore had significant financial interests and benefits in a commercial venture supporting AGW.

Celebrities jump on the band wagon for notoriety and publicity benefits and politicians pick up on it for the popularism or even financial benefits. Commercial opportunities are also exploited by companies involved in energy supply and associated industries trying to capitalise on the so-called ‘green energy’ concept – much of which is anything but ‘green’.

So, we have a whole range of influential factors selling us the theory. It is not surprising then that people buy the concept. They do not engage in research or critical evaluation and so the myth expands. Politicians then get influenced and put in place policies to tackle the climate crisis and to save the planet. All of which is based on a deception.

Why do the key organisations do this, after all they are supposed to be science based? However, the principles of science and research are not being followed, as will be explained later. As with many things we need to follow the money. Governments have committed over a trillion dollars to this theory for so called research and this is set to double and triple over the next few years. The IPCC, EAU and the like have and will continue to benefit from this so there is no incentive for them to retract their position – even if the real science does not support it.

Research grants are cast around like confetti for climate change projects so it is in the interests of establishments and the science community to keep the myth going and this is undermining the real principles of objective research and science. They are also so far down the commitment route it is impossible to stop – only a major political reversal could do this or clear proof that the theory and its predictions are wholly wrong.

In time the latter will be proven – the question is how long can we continue to follow this path, to afford it or indeed deal with the consequences of the damaging policies for human existence and life styles as a result of the fake and deceptive premise of AGW?!

In summary there is a momentum built up by the alarmists and propaganda machines of the likes of the IPCC and vested interest organisations which provides them with financial benefits. The real science is neglected to follow The Emperor’s New Clothes approach. Many eminent scientists have and continue to challenge it based on real science and measured data. This paper is another attempt to do this and to view the whole subject of climate change in balance and to recognise the real factors of influence and not exaggerate the effect of human behaviour or destroy the development or nature of humanity for an unsupported theory.

Climate is now about politics not about science.



2. The Deception and Distorted Science

1. Normal Climate is not a ‘real’ or proven state – climate over the existence of Earth has always changed – large variations from a frozen planet to very hot – changes occur irrespective of human activities – proven by records and measurements (ie real world data).

2. No experiments have confirmed the cause and effect of climate. The models used to offer predictions for future climate are non-validated models and cannot isolate human created CO2 from natural causes and they cannot integrate all the interactions so affecting climate such as the Sun, tectonics, clouds and even the carbon exchange process, which maintains the Earth’s equilibrium.

The selective use of data and the non-validated models are being used to influence energy and lifestyle policies with no justification for the likely major non-viable and damaging effects on human life.

3. The IPCC, a prime mover in attributing human made CO2 as the major (if not sole) cause of global temperature increases, has manipulated the data to support its claim and MOREOVER built this into its charter as a given so devising its research or rather propaganda to further reinforce the theory.

It receives vast funding sums from the UN and governments reflected in university grant research to do this. But it has never sought to determine if its premise of human made CO2 is the primary cause of any warming of the planet or to fully explore natural causes or
