About this ebook

Trapped in her home by a world on hold Eve reflects on her life and the little things she took for granted and longed for the romantic times of the past. Tortured by isolation, and loss of a loved one.

Her erotic memories play out in her mind like a technicolor film filled with romance, lust and women of all shapes and sizes. Occasionally she is dragged back to reality and the depression that is 2020. The only thing keeping her from deep depression is the torrid memories of love and lust of her previous life.

Surprisingly, she is inspired by a neighbor from her own building. Over time she watches as the older woman, seems to appear positive and it’s certain she is not letting the quarantine make her give up on life. Even when she realizes the older woman has suffered the death of her loving husband, she sees the woman push forward and live her life.

Eve begins doing what she has seen the older woman do, and the world starts to be less restrictive, motivating Eve to press forward herself. This new outlook in Eve bubbles over to the point, that the next time she see the older woman, rushed to embrace her now knowing she is no longer alone and adrift.

    Chapter One

    March 2020.

Everyone in the streets was singing and dancing, proudly wearing the three colored flag of the country. Eve enjoyed the company of her friends under the sun, as they sipped wine and loved the chances life had given them.

‘Silly girl, always using imagination to escape reality’ a sudden voice, forced her to look in the mirror.

She was in her bedroom, tired from another 14 hours of sleep, in the same pajamas she’d been wearing for 3 weeks, and the only sounds coming from the empty city streets were the ambulance sirens. The that same flag on top of the Cinema seemed oddly off color, almost white, probably trying to escape and become a mask desperately helping one more sick patient. The world was on hold.

The pandemic made people think how many things they took for granted, just because they never knew what it was like not to have them. Eve never fully appreciated the little chance she had to walk around the tiny city streets, wander through the colored houses, the smell coming from the shops, these friendly people always ready to greet you with a heart-warming smile. She was busy running, planning, saving for all the plans that were put in hold. But her unexpected loss of Susan due to the pandemic had devastated Eve and put reality in perspective.

Now she wished she would have slowed down a little, stopped in front of that popular ice cream store more often, drank more coffee with her mistress, had more wine with her friends. Now she wished she could feel the wind coming
