About this ebook

This story is fictional and very loosely based on the story of Elizabeth Woodcock, a Histon and Impington Resident in seventeen ninety-nine. The children are fictional characters and bear no resemblance to any of her real children. There are plenty of historical accounts of her life to be found if anyone wants to read about the real Elizabeth Woodcock.

    INTRODUCTION

This story is fictional and very loosely based on the story of Elizabeth Woodcock, a Histon and Impington Resident in 1799. Jacob the fishmonger was serving four customers at the same time but managed to turn his head towards Elizabeth.  He blew on his fingers to try and keep them warm then he also blew her a kiss.  He found her attractive.  She had a slim waist and pretty, brown hair, framing her pale white face, although she was now draped in a large cape and looked more like a bat than a pretty lady.

Oi Lizzie, are you ready for husband number three?  Aren’t you tired of old Danny Woodcock yet?  Jacob shouted, but
