About this ebook

A stolen moment…

…to reunite them!

Since her mischief-making childhood with Robbie Danby, Rowenna has curbed her impetuous nature and become a lady. When she meets Robbie again in York, he’s close to claiming his knighthood. Their newly awakened affection inspires in Rowenna a new—decidedly adult—impulsiveness! Yet Robbie’s heart appears to belong to another—unless a midsummer kiss could change everything…?

“A Runaway Bride for the Highlander is so good. So incredibly good. Like sinking into a hot bath on a cold winter’s day, it surrounds and comforts.”All About Romance on A Runaway Bride for the Highlander

Elisabeth Hobbes

Elisabeth’s writing career began when she finished third in Harlequin’s So You Think You Can Write contest in 2013 and hasn't looked back. She teaches Primary school but would rather write full time because unlike five year olds her characters generally do what she tells them. She spends most of her spare time reading and is a pro at cooking one-handed while holding a book. She lives in Cheshire because the car broke down there in 1999 and she never left.

Rowenna has a problem with her birth; her father was illegitimate, it reduces her chances of a great marriage, she's being herded to a marriage with someone who will help her father's business for want of another choice. Robbie Danby comes back into her life, a childhood friend being trained as a squire with a hope of becoming a knight and with hopes of marrying his sponsor's daughter. He has a stammer and this colours his life and a secret about himself that could cause his life to be upended. It's an interesting story with some good details about York in the middle ages and about some of the riots during the period. It was a good read.
