Bluestone River is a minefield of memories for Mike Abbot—all involving Ruby Driscoll. Twenty years after scandal divided them, they’re both back in their hometown. Ruby’s visit is strictly temporary. But as she uses her trauma expertise to help his vulnerable son, Mike faces what his heart has always known. Ruby’s still his one and only. This time, can he convince her to stay?

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5The start to Virginia McCullough’s Back to Bluestone River series, A Family for Jason delivers a sweet story of returning home and second chances. It’s a perfect read for any reader in the mood for heartwarming contemporary romance.Once high-school sweethearts, Ruby Driscoll and Mike Abbot are separated by twenty years and the lingering effects of tragedy and scandal they still can’t shake. But now, as they each return to their hometown, unbeknownst to the other, it is time to face the past—and the possibility that a first love can be a forever love.Seeing the story between Ruby and Mark play out was a pleasure. Their experience is full of drama, emotion, and small-town charm, and I enjoyed my time with A Family for Jason. I’m definitely looking forward to reading more of this series in the future.I received a complimentary copy of this book and the opportunity to provide an honest review. I was not required to write a positive review, and all the opinions I have expressed are my own.
