Finally, an HEA for Zoe!His One and Only Bride is a second chance romance for two characters who have been apart for two years--in fact, she thought he was dead--and were heading quickly toward another type of separation for several years before that. For much of the novel, they're still apart--Zoe's moved back in with her mom, and Mitch is staying with a friend--and for a lot of the time, it doesn't seem as if an HEA is at all guaranteed. There is a lot of trust to rebuild between the two, and quite a few past hurts to get over. If you're looking for a book with a lot of shared, romantic moments, this isn't that book. But if you're looking for a realistic portrayal of what it could take to get a marriage back on track and create a family? This could just hit the spot.Though it was frustrating at times to read about the walls these two put up between themselves, both before and during the novel, it did serve to make their ending that much sweeter. A heartwarming side romance between secondary characters and Zoe and Mitch's absolutely adorable one-year-old son really added to the experience.Rating: 4 stars / B+I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Mitch had been pronounced dead over a year ago, finally Zoe listened to her friends and accepted a date with Tim, a very handsome, eligible firefighter. She had experienced a trauma in her teen years that, along with being the parent, had cause her to be very protective and strong-willed.After having several miscarriages, her marriage had become very stressed and "heated" with arguments. That is the last memory she had of Mitch when he left on assignment. Little did she know how much her life would change over the next year.As acting Mayor, she was performing the marriage of one of her best friends when duringthe reception she received shocking news, Mitch is alive and in town. He was injured badly and had partial amnesia but was very much alive! How can she possibly deal with this? The divorce papers she had drawn up when her husband left sat at home unsigned in her drawer.Mitch knew his arrival would be a shock. He had spent months in the hospital in a coma then in rehabilitation. He had eventually remembered parts of his former life with Zoe. How can he compete for her love as a cripple?Mitch soon discovered there was more than the issues with his wife to fight and keep his marriage together. This is a very predictable story but very well-written in a smooth, flowing manor. The characters are easily connected with and the scenes easily visualized. There were a few twists. The Title and Cover were an okay "fit".This earns a Four Stars rating.*This book was gifted me with no request for a positive review. This is my honest review.
