This book is dedicated to the Father, who loved me enough to give me His Son; to Jesus, the Son who loved me enough to come to earth to live and die for me; and to the Holy Spirit, who loves me enough to always give me the words my heart needs but can never find. Like He did with every prayer in this book.

It’s also dedicated to my Randy, the man I had the honor and joy of loving for twenty-eight years on earth and who I still love even though it’s been eight years since he went to his true home. He would be thrilled about what the Father is doing through me with these books.

I also give my deepest gratitude to David Ebel, who has been involved in all three books I was given the honor to type for the Holy Spirit. And he’s still working with me because of the many ways he’s still needed to get these books out into the world. Just where God wants them to be.

And then there’s Marybell Joseph. A fourteen-year-old artist God blessed me with for the children’s book. And who also did the original cover for this book. Though I love your art, Marybell, I also loved working with you. Maybe we’ll do it again sometime. But then again, maybe not. The time of Spirit-led books God chooses me to be the typist for may be over. But I’ve always believed that through choosing you to help me on two of the books, He was also beginning your future in art. Listen for His guidance. Only when you listen can you hear Him.

And my thanks to Carol Coffey, who helped with the first book, The True Purpose of Christmas, in more ways than words can explain. I’ll always be grateful for your moral support and editing so you could catch my Nickie mistakes and so much more. Sometimes I thought our brains were connected—twins. Except for the Nickie mistakes, of course.

And my thanks to God again for sending these three people into my life at just the right moment, each for different reasons. His preplanned reasons. But He had another preplan that I thank Him for, and that’s Trilogy Publishing. And I thank Terry Cordingley, Christy, Candace, Natalee, and every person that put their heart into getting this book ready to go out into the world. God may have used my hands and my name, but He also used every one of you so His plan for this book could be fulfilled. You should feel honored. But you should also be thanked by me. And you are.

My prayers are for everyone who buys this book of Spirit-led prayers to read them, pray them, and find just the right words they need at this time in their life so they can be changed for the good. May you all be blessed beyond anything you could have imagined once you’ve met, come to know, and truly begin to follow the Holy Trinity.

If you’re already a Christian but haven’t started seeing any real changes in your life—no, not wealth, prestige, becoming promoted or famous, but changes Jesus died on the cross for you to make, in other words, a new you starting to blossom and grow, in your thoughts, words, actions, reactions, and attitude, so you really can become who God created you to be—then this book is for you. Somewhere in these Spirit-led prayers you’ll find the wisdom you really need to hear. And then with His help you’ll learn to live it. I know because this whole book that started out with my questions and requests led to His wisdom being the answer. And over time He inserted that wisdom into my prayers. Just so I could pray it over and over again until I started to change every part of me that needed to be changed. And when I truly learned to listen and then obey, I started living the life Jesus hung on that cross for me to live. He didn’t die just so I could go to heaven when I leave this earth; He died (and rose again) so I would change while still living here. But living it in a way that would glorify Him, the Father, and of course, the Holy Spirit, the best Teacher you’ll ever know. And the only way to glorify them is to actually walk with and for them, not merely accepting heaven as your destiny. And you don’t do that by following laws; it comes through living in God’s gift of grace so you can become who He really created you to be, His much-loved child.

Not every word of wisdom within these pages may be for you. Maybe only ten prayers will, or thirty, but they’ll be words of wisdom you really need to hear. They will change your life in a more exciting way than you can even fathom.

Have I reached perfection? No. And I never will. Not on earth. But the point is to try. And then you’ll begin to notice how much you have changed. I changed through these Spirit-led prayers and now He wants these words to be an actual book instead of just my prayer book. And He’s using my hands to type His wisdom to reach your heart and to change your life, whether it’s through only ten just right prayers or thirty. He’s not trying to turn you into my clone; He wants to help you become exactly who God created you to be.

My prayers are for anyone who buys this book, even though I’ll never know your name. And I’ll be praying that if you pray these prayers once but didn’t find the wisdom you need, that you’ll read it again. The enemy who really exists may be blocking your mind because he doesn’t want you to change. I didn’t change immediately when I learned each new piece of wisdom, and you
