About this ebook

We are not always who we seem. We might be someone completely different than the way we perceive ourselves. It Takes Two delves into two individuals, Judah and Benji, who see themselves in two completely different lights. Judah sees himself as a despicable being who has nothing to live for, whereas Benji sees himself as a dreamer who is basically a good person. As these two men's lives begin to intertwine, both men begin to realize maybe they aren't really who they perceived themselves to be. Through grasping the meaning of faith, love, and loss, both men come face-to-face with the one thing they have been running from: themselves.

It Takes Two - Julia Baznik

    Introduction

    Judah

Most people see children as innocent. Maybe not the kindest or gentlest creatures, but some sort of purity or innocence is in them. Until, they grow up. However, if you are surrounded by evil, since the moment you were born, that innocence and bright-eyed curiosity are exchanged with pure evil. And that is how my story starts. I came into this world with no name. I was left in a place crawling with insects and the smell of human feces. I am not sure how long I was there until I was found. But I do know that I was almost dead. My first year of life was spent in a foster care facility, until I was adopted by a single woman, in her late twenties.

This woman seemed to care about me for the first couple of years that I was with her. But she became more and more lax as the years went by. She would spend many a night going to parties at friends’ houses, either leaving me at home or taking me with her. She and her friends would drink and sometimes do drugs. When I got a bit older, like seven or eight, her friends would offer me sips of their drinks, causing me to eventually start a ruckus, after too many sips. This ended up with me being placed in one of the friend’s bedrooms until it was time to go
