Introduction

Haiti is a country located on the Island of Hispaniola in the Caribbean. It is characterized by beautiful beaches, wonderful landscapes, and friendly people. The people of Haiti may not have much in terms of material wealth, but they are filled with love, generosity, kindness, and the human spirit. This is what you see on the surface of the country of Haiti.

However, for many generations, Haiti has been hiding a secret. A secret so intense, it would make even the most emotionless among us, weep uncontrollably. Generations of people have lived and worked in Haiti, making the country run every day. Through good and troubled times, they were true Haitians all the way. Although these people ran Haiti, they did not rule Haiti. The most elite members of society have always ruled Haiti. The rich and powerful made the rules, and the rest of the people had to follow them. Follow them at all costs or face grave consequences. If you were not part of the elite class, then you were disposable in every single way. The people who worked to build up Haiti reaped none of the benefits. They were simply allowed to live.

We wish we could say this was the great secret that has been exposed. Unfortunately, Haiti has been hiding something much darker. This dark secret relates to the continuous abuse towards the children of Haiti. This abuse came in the form of sexual assault, which was quite common, and still is. Innocent children were subjected to the sex crimes of the richest and most powerful men in their cities. They were the adults they trusted the most. They were the adults that other citizens looked up to. They were powerful, wealthy, educated, and revered. That’s right; they were revered. The people cheered for them, voted for them, respected them, and gave their undying devotion to them. For the people of Haiti, these men were who they aspired to be. On the surface, this is understandable, but what if we look deeper? Would the people still feel this way?

The people of Haiti were bound to be loyal and respectful to the elite members of society. What was occurring underground was anything but respectful. Even if the people knew what was going on, they did not have the strength to do anything about it. Whether out of fear or ignorance, the people of Haiti continued to give their loyalty to the rich and powerful. Dissension, in any way, could mean death.

Many children in the country of Haiti have experienced horrific sex crimes throughout many decades. But they were told not to speak. If they did speak, they were told to keep quiet. If they continued to be loud, they would face grave consequences. The children did not have a voice. The adults who did have a voice either did not speak for them or tried to silence them. Those who were supposed to protect them often hurt them the most. These wealthy and powerful men who have harmed these innocent children are the ones we are here to expose today.

In Haiti Underground: A Story of Hidden Sex Crimes of the Rich and Powerful in Haiti, we will follow the story of Thomas, a high-level government employee in the city of Christ-Roi. We will chronologically tell the story of Thomas from when he was a young, single man, until the time of his sudden death. During these years, Thomas had much success in his career, held many powerful and influential positions, was a respected member of society, fathered multiple children, and lived to be an old man. This may seem like an ordinary existence; however, what we could not see underground, will give us a completely different impression.

Over the decades, Thomas was thought to have harmed and molested many children who lived in his neighborhood of Accacia. Many of whom were his family members. Most of these were suspicions and never fully proven. While we will be following the story of one main character, his actions mirror the many sexual assault crimes of other elite members of society. His story is not an anomaly, but a common occurrence in Haiti. Follow us as we detail the most horrific actions taken by Thomas during his lifetime. This the underground story of Christ-Roi, Haiti.

Chapter 1

The End Date

Thomas was sitting alone in a dark room in his home, with a glass in his hand. He looked outside as the sun was setting over the horizon. The day was long as Thomas spent the majority of it deep in thought. He had contemplated for much of the morning and afternoon exactly how he wanted to end his day. On his wall, there was a calendar. The date was January 5 th , 2019. Thomas had lived a long 83 years as one of the most influential people in Christ-Roi, Haiti. He was born, raised, and lived in the working-class neighborhood of Accacia. He was known and respected by just about everyone.

Of course, this was from the people who did not know him that well. The people who knew Thomas the most were no longer living near him. All of his family, including his ex-wife, kids, and grandkids, had migrated to the United States many years earlier. While Thomas was a very powerful person throughout his life, he did not have any close personal friends. At least, no one that was still living. The room remained dark and seemed to be getting smaller with every passing minute.

Thomas had spoken to one of his sons who lived in New York over the phone a few hours earlier. It was the last conversation he had with a family member, and it did not go pleasantly. There was a lot of screaming and shouting. As Thomas thought more about this phone conversation, he stood up and began walking around the room. He walked up to his bookshelf, filled with all of the manuscripts he had ever read. Thomas was quite educated and came from a wealthy family that always pressured him to succeed. Thomas did succeed in almost every facet of his professional life.

Thomas then walked to the window to look outside. The sun was continuing to go down over the horizon. He stared deep into the distance and observed the land that was surrounding him. This was the land he grew up on since birth. The area he knew every single inch of and loved to call home. No matter where in the world Thomas traveled to, he never considered any other place in the world better than Christ-Roi, Haiti.

He stood at his window like he did so many times before. His top floor of the house was relatively high, so he could see very far out into the distance. He saw people in their own modest homes, living as they do. They had much less than him as far as material wealth; however, what they did have was an atmosphere of love. As Thomas continued to observe all of the people he could see, he noticed how happy they seemed to be, even though they had very little. They made the most of everything, and that is from where their real joy came.

Most importantly, they had close-knit family units, and they were all there for each other. As Thomas saw this, he began nodding his head, appearing to become more self-aware. After a few minutes, he looked down towards the street in front of his home. He saw all of the children on his block running around having fun. Their parents were trying to gather them to come inside the house. It was getting dark, and they needed to get out of the streets.

When Thomas saw the children playing innocently, without a care in the world, he took a deep breath and then walked away from the window. He then began pacing back and forth in his room, which by itself was more prominent than most people’s entire houses. He looked intently at everything he owned. All of this stuff that impressed him and brought him joy throughout his life had minimal effect on him now. After pacing around the room for several minutes, Thomas walked to the door leading into the hallway. He briefly walked out of the room and to the stairway railing. As he stood there observing, he could see his entire house. All of the magnificent furniture that he owned was brand new. He barely ever used it.

He recalled the moments where he had major parties, and his house would swell up with the towns’ people. It had been a few years since he had a gathering like this. He did not walk downstairs. He did not feel like he needed to, as most of the house was observable from the staircase. He walked back into his room in the dark.

Thomas took one last look at the walls and then sat back down in his chair. This chair was where he made the
