It was the long weekend and the children could not contain their excitement at the prospect of spending the whole three days with Grandma and Poppy Beans. Last time they had solved the mystery of the missing antique heirloom silver spoon and they wondered what adventures awaited them.
Jupiter welcomed them at the front gate with boisterous barking and tail wagging and led them inside. Grandma Beans was standing at the front door with welcoming arms and Poppy was standing behind her smiling wide. From inside the house the smell of fresh pikelets wafted in the air.
