About this ebook

With the demons swarming and the vast armies of heaven’s angels standing by, but not allowed to intervene, the life slowly
drains from the Lord’s body. Satan looks on, gloating, manipulating. His twisted satisfaction is suddenly interrupted however, by the great warrior Archangel Michael, flaming sword at Satan’s neck.

The Father gives the command and Earth stands still, literally, as the mighty armies of heaven; thousands upon thousands, and tens of thousands upon tens of thousands, pour out of heaven’s gates and head to the cross. Could this be the greatest battle between heaven and hell that has ever been fought? Or is there a greater plan unfolding that neither angels or demons could possibly have foreseen?

Told predominantly through the perspective of the mighty Archangel Michael, with the vast armies of heaven’s angels at his back, ‘The Crucifixion’ provides a fictional account of the unimaginable grief and raw emotion likely faced by God and the angels as the events of Christ’s death run their horrific and drawn out course. Capturing the deep loving Father heart of God, not only for His son Jesus, but also for us as human beings, we’re taken on an exhilarating and emotional journey through the conflicting moments of incomprehensible suffering and yet ultimate triumph of Easter.

The morning air was thick with the stench of evil,

    an acrid pungent evil.

The thick black haze that hung over the city of Jerusalem, made up by the many, many hundreds of thousands of vile demonic beings circling above. Unseen by the mortals filling the streets over the last few hours, making their way up to the hill on the outskirts of Jerusalem called Calvary, Golgotha, ‘The place of the Skull’.

This was the day, that day that had been prophesied long ago by the prophet Isaiah.

‘He was pierced for our transgressions, crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed’.

A vast number of Satan’s demons swarmed over the outskirts of the city, gloating and celebrating what they perceived as a great victory. The impending death of God’s son Jesus Christ, the King of the Jews. The one who was supposed to come to earth to be the saviour of God’s beloved humans.

Look at him now, they scoffed. Some king.

    Father, shall we go?

Michael, the Mighty Archangel, the ‘Great Prince’ over Gods’ people, and head of the Chief Princes. Second in command over the vast legions of heaven’s angel armies, second only to the Lord King himself, Jesus Christ.

Initially the leader over all of heavens’ angels, Michael now led the two thirds that remained after that fateful day long ago, when so many were cast down.

His deep resonant voice echoed as he asked the question all the angels were thinking, and aching to be asked.

They had had to sit and watch throughout the previous night and over the last few hours, as their Lord endured a level of hardship and pain they struggled to comprehend.

    And to accept.

If called upon by their Lord, the
