KC was so full of patience and sound advice. She helped me to differentiate the major life stressors that I can control versus those that I do not have control over. This process allowed me to regain a sense of control throughout what has been an incredibly hectic and uncertain time in both mine and my fiance’s lives. I feel like KC also helped me to understand the genuine importance of making sure to take care of myself and relationship during this difficult season. She provided so much practical, step by step advice that was easy to follow through on. You have been an enormous support—it’s such a gift knowing that someone else understands!

Finding Borderless Stories and working with KC while going through the K-1 process was everything I had been searching the internet for and could never seem to find. I discovered the K-1 Visa Wedding Plan just before I filed for my now husband and it gave me some really good things to start thinking through and the fact that it was coming from someone who had been through this all already was priceless. Shortly after finding that course I joined the membership community which was another added layer of support. It was amazing to have what felt like a friend and a mentor who knew first hand what this process was like as well as an awesome group of ladies some of which were going through the K-1 process at the same time. It gave me a community of people who understood me in a way that so many other people could not!

Introduction
Welcome to the K-1 Visa Wedding Plan e-book. I’m your instructor, friend, and guide, KC McCormick Çiftçi. I went through the K-1 visa process with my husband in 2016 and we’ve been living in the US ever since we got him his visa, got married and did all of those fun things that I’m sure you’re in the midst of right now.
In case you don’t already know, the K-1 visa is a visa that’s issued to the non-citizen fiance(e) of a US citizen, and it allows that person to enter the US and marry his or her citizen fiance(e) within 90 days.
So, what’s the problem facing couples in this process? Why did I feel the need to write this e-book in the first place?
Well, the K-1 visa process is a long stressful time in a relationship and when you add wedding planning into that as well, it can really shoot that stress level through the roof. I don’t want that for you. The goal of this e-book is to help you navigate that time of waiting and wedding planning with as much celebration of your relationship as possible and as little stress and worry.
Who is this book for?
It’s for anyone who’s in the K-1 process or thinking about beginning the K-1 process. So without further ado, let’s jump right in.
