I'm a ninety-one-year-old artist who fell in love at the age of twenty-two and married the girl, Pat Zurcher, in 1953. Today, I'm as much in love with her as ever. We raised six children and have a beautiful group of grand and great-grandchildren. Presently, I'm on a mission to remind folks of our loving creator GOD, who it seems, the world has forgotten. So if you don't mind, permit me to give you a quick bit of advice. Let's just say you're not doing much with the life GOD gave you. If you give that life back to him, watch GOD work the most impossible miracles in your life you have ever known. Merely ask! And it shall be given you. Seek and ye shall find.

MAG IS IN THE BACKYARD HANGING HER MONDAY MORNING WASH. SHE IS SINGING, OH WHAT A BEAUTIFUL MORNING.
(MAG sings: OH WHAT A BEAUTIFUL MORNING.
)
LOOK AT THE SUNSHINE, IT’S KISSING MY FACE.
CAN’T SEE A GRAY CLOUD OR EVEN A TRACE.
FLOWERS AND BLOSSOMS ALL OVER THE PLACE.
OH WHAT A BEAUTIFUL MORNING.
LITTLE BIRDS HUDDLED AND TUCKED IN THEIR NEST.
MOTHER BIRDS FLYING WHILE BABY BIRDS REST.
THINGS LOOKING BRIGHT IN THE EAST AND THE WEST.
OH WHAT A BEAUTIFUL MORNING.
THAT’S WHY I’M SINGING.
GOTTA LET GO!
HEY! DON’T YOU KNOW?
SPRINGTIME IS SPRINGING.
EARTH’S ALL AGLOW.
OH WHAT A SHOW!
GOD MADE ALL CREATURES TO LIVE AND SURVIVE.
BEETLES AND BUNNIES AND BEES IN THEIR HIVE.
PEOPLE WAKE UP AND BE GLAD YOU’RE ALIVE.
OH WHAT A BEAUTIFUL,
DAY THAT IS NEW AN’ FULL MORNING.
MAG
(As MAG sings the last line of her song, another voice chimes in.)
Hello! Is someone there?
(Waits for a moment, then raises the empty clothes basket and ready to swing as she tiptoes toward the sound of the voice.)
I said who’s there? You better come out now before I…
LANCY
(Jumps out suddenly from behind the bedsheet on the clothesline.)
Boo!
MAG
(Startled, she flips the clothes basket in the air and grabs her heart.)
Ugh!
LANCY
It’s only me, Mag!
MAG
Are my eyes seein’ who I think I’m seein’? Is that really you?
LANCY
(With outstretched arms.)
The one an’ only!
MAG
(Hugs LANCY joyfully.)
Oh welcome home, Lancy. We all missed you so.
(Somewhat scoldingly.)
Now where have you been all this time?
LANCY
Tell ya’ later! Are you ready for another surprise, Mag?
MAG
Another?
LANCY
Yeah! Look who I brought along with me.
(Peels back the bedsheet hanging on the line, and LOVELY peeks around.)
MAG
(Surprised.)
It can’t be! Is this…
LANCY
Sure is!
(To LOVELY.)
Say hello to your Aunt Mag.
LOVELY
(Shyly.)
Hello.
MAG
Come here, my darlin’, and let me see you. Do you think you could give your Aunt Mag a big hug?
LANCY
Go ahead, Lovely.
MAG
(THEY hug. Somewhat confused she says to LANCY,)
But I thought you named her Ba…
LANCY
(Abruptly.)
No! I call her Lovely. That’s her name.
MAG
(Tries not to make an issue of it.)
Oh!
(Smoothing things over. To LOVELY.)
And lovely is what you are.
LOVELY
(Shyly.)
Thank you, ma’m!
MAG
You’re gonna have to get used to callin’ me Aunt Mag.
LANCY
(Suddenly.)
Well Lovely, say goodbye to your Aunt Mag.
MAG
(Somewhat bewildered.)
What do you mean, ‘goodbye’?
LANCY
I have to find a place for Lovely and me to stay.
MAG
(Firmly.)
You’re staying right here, Lancy O’Neill.
LANCY
(Insistently.)
No, Mag! I know of a place on the other side of Glen Willow.
MAG
Not another word! There’s plenty of room here! And besides, if you live so far away, I’ll never see…
(Slight pause.)
Lovely.
(Calls for her daughter Gabrielle.)
Gabrielle! Gabrielle! Now where can that girl be! She’s never around when I need her.
GABRIELLE
(She enters, stroking her hair with a brush.)
Yes, Mother!
MAG
Come meet your cousin Lovely.
GABRIELLE
Hi!
LOVELY
H’lo.
MAG
And this is your Uncle Lancy who you haven’t seen in years.
GABRIELLE
Hi Unc!
LANCY
Looks like the little duckling turned into a beautiful swan.
MAG
Don’t be telling the child such things. Spends half the day now looking in the mirror!
(To GABRIELLE.)
Show Lovely to that spare room and help with her things.
GABRIELLE
Mom, I don’t have time.
MAG
Do as I say!
GABRIELLE
(Complaining.)
It’ll be your fault if I’m late for school.
MAG
None of your back talk! Now go!
GABRIELLE
(Grumbling.)
Oh alright!
(To LOVELY.)
Grab your bag, kid, and hurry up!
(She and LOVELY exit.)
MAG
It’s been ten long years Lancy. Tell me about it.
LANCY
Later Mag! I’m droppin’ in at Mulligan’s.
MAG
Don’t start that again, Lancy.
LANCY
I just wanna see Sharky and the old gang.
MAG
Stay away from him, Lancy, he’s still bad news.
LANCY
Look Mag, I’m not your little brother anymore.
MAG
(Disappointedly.)
Why didn’t you ever write?
LANCY
It was impossible where we lived.
MAG
Where was that?
LANCY
Half way around the world!
MAG
(Demandingly.)
Well, you could have done something! Didn’t you think we’d worry at what happened to you and the child? Kristal became deathly ill, and only by the grace of GOD did she recover. But she’s never been the same since you went away. Doesn’t she matter?
LANCY
(Jumps up quickly.)
I don’t wanna hear about Kristal. And I don’t want her to know we’re in town.
MAG
Why not? I don’t understand, has she done something wrong?
LANCY
Drop it, Mag!
MAG
Well no matter what you say, she’ll find out sooner or later.
LANCY
(Very firm.)
Maybe so, but don’t you be the one to tell her.
MAG
Why are you so bitter toward Kristal?
LANCY
(Angrily.)
Forget it! Tell Lovely I’ll be back in a little while.
(Charges out.)
GABRIELLE
(Rushes in.)
I’m going to brain that Herbie for being late again! ‘Bye Mom!
(THEY kiss. Runs out.)
MAG
‘Bye! I love you!
LOVELY
(Enters and looks around.)
Where’s Buddy?
MAG
Who, sweetheart?
LOVELY
Buddy!
MAG
(Somewhat confused.)
You mean Lancy?
LOVELY
Uh huh, that’s what you call him. Where is he?
MAG
He’ll be back soon, darlin’. You must be starved after your long trip. Would you like something to eat?
LOVELY
Uh huh!
MAG
(Low on food.)
Oh, wouldn’t you know it!
LOVELY
What’s wrong?
MAG
Would you run to the store for me, Lovely?
LOVELY
Okay!
(Slight pause.)
I was in a store once!
MAG
Only once?
LOVELY
Uh huh! After we got off the boat.
MAG
Were there no stores where you
