My name is Percy Frazier, Jr., and I was born to the proud parents of Percy and Mary Frazier, Sr., on February 16, 1954. I attended Notre Dame High School where I began an interest in writing but life and times prevented that for many years. Thanks to my long time college friend, the late Ms. Judy Mason of "Good Times" fame, the fire was rekindled in March, 2009 when I did my first ever manuscript entitled "Vengeance Is Mine" (authorhouse.com), and followed that up in December, 2009 with the creation of "The Amazon Angel" and another series coming so Xilibris soon entitled, "Black Widow". It is my hope that one day when someone sits down to watch something on television that they will say, "Hey, I know that guy!"; that alone is worth the effort.

When an underwater explosion took place two-hundred miles west of Midway Island it seemed like just one of many explosions, but when an ancient terror came from the depths of the Pacific Ocean, the revelation of it was not only frightening but unbelieveable as these vessels that came from the depths of the Pacific were all sank at Pearl Harbor on the morning of December 7, 1941, but these ships, this zombie fleet could do what they couldn’t do when they fought for liberty and freedom as now they were in the service of a man gone mad and had been transformed into lethal killing machines, and now its up to the United States Navy and the Russian Floatilla, along with a little help from inside the bowels of Washington D.C., as they join forces to stop the madman named, Micah Volkavic and the rest of his crew in

spider-312091_1280.jpg The Origin of Black Widow

In February,1989 a man named Franklin Butler Wells, a veteran CIA operative, came up with an idea while recovering from having had a hand grenade explode next to him causing him to walk with a partial limp. While he was recovering at the Abdul El Achmed Medical Center in Saudi Arabia he hit on the idea of an agency that could do the same thing that his own agency, the CIA could do, but it would also do it in the United States but it would be stocked with the finest, most beautiful females one earth, and they’d have colorful names instead of their Christian names, and they’d be called Widows, but when he saw a black widow spider crawling on the window ledge, before an orderly killed it, he decided the name of his agency would be, Black W idow.

When he returned to the states he officially retired from the CIA and with a rather substantial severance check, he began his plans and decided that he didn’t want his agency in a sky scraper or even out in the open. He decided to have it under the city in downtown Washington in the cool recesses of the sewers where the black widow spider calls home, that ran throughout the city and it was a rather cheap adventure in the beginning because of his ties with certain people in high places, and so began the task of setting up the offices and places inside what he’d call the NEST while making the widows in the states part of what he called the LAIR and the ones overseas in what he called the WEB.

Though not recruited as a field operative the first female he recruited was Georgia McGee, a totally beautiful female from the University of Massachusetts that bore an eerie resemblence to the disco queen of the ‘80’s that recorded the smash hit, Bad Girls, but he renamed her and her name became Erica Frenchette Stormcastle, aka Fury, his first recruit in November, 1989 but she was put in charge of Research and Development and Wells allowed her to pick her own team and she did just that having Wells to recruit seven of her closest friends from the university, among which were Dr. Lydia Sandaval and Dr. Rachel Murphy who’d become Storm and Galena respectively and they would make up the core of Black Widow and be responsible for all it would become in the years ahead, but it would also lead to Wells’ first heartbreak and the death of a part of his dream.

After four years of recruitment he had his agency well stocked and well trained and he had recrutied truly the finest collection of females, all of urban model quality and all beautful. They all spent two years at Quanitco training with both the FBI and the CIA so by the time they were ready to become operatives they were well versed in the art of investigating, and the term, termination with extreme prejudice.

True to his word he had the operatives he wanted, among them, Dr. Tiffany Trammel, aka Nightshade, Dr. Cheryl Powell aka Sundance, Cynthia Jason, aka, Eclipse, and perhaps the fiercest of them all, D’Amona Michelle Allen, aka Delilah, but his very first operative was Angela Mitchell, aka Silk who’s kidnapping raised Black Widow to heights Wells had never dreamed it would reach in the execution of their assignments and he found that it would be he that personally gave the order to find her and to terminate her captors with extreme prejudice.

What excited him though was that when he called them, the ones he called came without a moments hesitation from both the WEB and the LAIR and they went in search of their missing sister widow in her last known location, the Everglades where she’d been observing the goings on of suspected Taliban agents with a man named Judd Simmons, a man Wells had kicked out of the CIA for his questionable tactics of which this had been one of them.

What Wells didn’t know was that the widows of the WEB had actually sought out each other in their cover locations and soon without his knowledge, they’d made Delilah their (unofficial)leader, and among these were Regan Shanora Houston, aka Mystique, Christina Van Zandt, aka Raven, and Napoleana Delaclerc, aka Red Ridinghood.

Wells learned that he had twice as many WEB widows as he had LAIR widows so he called a halt to all WEB recruitment, but by the time he had, the agency had recruited Dianna Al Mahad, aka Scorpia, Janice Swanson, aka, Sparrow, and D’Angela Vanderpol, aka, Snowball, all operatives but all bonafide assassins, but among them was a widow named Fresca Bonneville who became Danni Sommers, aka Firefly who’d bring the agency to it’s knees with Judd Simmons and send Black Widow to a new height of the term, termination with extreme prejudice".

To the day of his retirement he regretted the day he switched Angela Mitchell, aka Silk to the LAIR as she’d done well on her very first assignment but now he sent her into the Everglades to observe and report on the activities of a man discovered to be Judd Simmons who was alledged to be envolved with Taliban agents there trying to set up a counterfeit operation to finance their objectives, but he was aligned to a widow Wells had dismissed from the agency for her intrusion into the confidential files among which, one was on Judd Simmons. Unfortunately the Widow’s Last Mile tunnel hadn’t been constructed yet and as such when she was dismissed she retained everything she knew about the agency and used it to gain access to where Silk was located, and she got up on her, knocked her out and kidnapped her where she remained their hostage and captive for the next two years.

Wells had the conference room equipped with a board that had the names of every operative in Black Widow that had a light next to it; if the light was green, she was fine, if it was yellow she was in trouble and that light only came on when she contacted the NEST to advise of a troublesome situation and it went yellow automatically, and then it would go out, meaning that the operative was now dead. Every day when Wells looked at the board Silk’s light was green so he knew she was alive, he just didn’t know where she was but she was still alive. The real problem was that some of his LAIR operatives were being murdered and that meant someone knew of the inner workings of the agency (Vengeance Is Mine/Black Widow).

He couldn’t go to the police because officially Black Widow didn’t exist and only President O’Brian and two others knew of it’s existence but it seems logical that Simmons knew since he was with Firefly the day they were discovered and it was just after this discovery that Silk disappeared. He put four of his best LAIR widows on the case and as such the call went out for Nightshade, Sundance, Eclipse and Innocent to look into it.

After interviewing the people that had knowldege of the deaths of the dead operatives they knew exactly who was at the heart of it, the only one that could get up on each of them, a beautiful female with dark shoulder length curly hair and a tall Caucasian man with red hair, Firefly and Simmons, so now they headed to the Everglades to find Silk and to kill the renegade widow, Firefly and her accomplice, Judd Simmons.

They found Silk a she’d been held in an old cabin in the jungle where she’d been the victim of rape and torture by these two fiends but though she was rescued one of them, Innocent took a knife in the side while Eclipse, Nightshade and Sundance gave chase narrowly missing both Firefly and Simmons at the end of the trail as they sped off in a boat they’d come to the Everglades in; they’d gotten away, but only from the ones sent to terminate them, but it was Sundance’s report that set everything in motion that would happen for years and years after this engagement was over. When they were all retrieved Nightshade was expecting to go after them with this team she was with here with only a substitute for Innocent" who’d be laid up for a while in the Infirmary; Wells had another solution.

She believed that there was no way that Wells would call all of them in from all over the agency as she was like the LAIR widows, when they killed it was out of necessity; when the WEB widows killed it was out of a desire to express extreme dominance and as such were thought of as the most ruthless of all the widows. Her suspicions were frightening but not nearly as frightening as what she saw on the mainframe in the cockpit of the plane,

    0001BWWEBW001

When she saw this code even the trained professional that Nightshade was, she cringed at the sight of it because this was the emergency recall code for every widow in either side of the agency to return to Washington immediately of which it would be the WEB widows turn to go after Firefly and Simmons, but it struck terror in Nightshade’s heart as she knew they’d not stop until both Simmons and Firefly were dead, but more importantly, they weren’t so much being led by Wells, they were more being led by Delilah perhaps the most dangerous of them all.

Their mission was half successful though as the renegade widow, Firefly was found in another part of the Everglades where she’d seperated from Simmons who went on into Washington to try and rob the NEST of the treasury bill casting plates that were being kept inside the vault, but Firefly was trapped in an inlet where the WEB widows all lined up in front of her as she stood in the water just off the beach, but standing next to Delilah were the widows preparing to open fire, and as they cocked their weapons, all she could do was curse them all as round after round found her chest and she died in a hail of gunfire!

In Washington, Simmons gained access to the NEST but in the end it was the NEST itself that administered the final blow to his plans as the two girls Wells recruited, Angela Phillips, aka Lil Rock, and Lydia Sandaval, aka, Storm proved to be more than valueable assets as Little Rock served as Security Specialist and she programmed the NEST security devices with the brain anagrams of an actual black widow spider making them three times as lethal and absolutely deadly. Simmons stepped into the trap at the very mouth of the vault he was trying to enter only to be the victim of the NEST security when he entered the wrong code into the system and it rejected it, and him, horribly.

The NEST computers were designed and built by the United States Air Force under the direction of Brigadier General Lucius Adonis Logankraft and they were deadly enough but what Little Rock did to them gave them literally the ability to feel, that is they knew how to register changes in heartbeat and pulse and could determine enemy from friend even with shoes on, but the inbred lazers inside the floors and walls would tell the story and Simmons had a story it didn’t like, so it just closed the book on him and those with him.

When everything was over, Simmons and Firefly were dead but Wells knew the agony of losing his widows as Sparrow, and Snowball of the WEB and Komodo of the LAIR had been the second of the widows to be killed, but these amazon warriors had died in battle. The first ever was one that died only weeks before Wells went to Jamaica to recruit an island girl named Simone KaKa Kuumbala and she’d been the head of Research and Development, Erica Frenchette Stormcastle, aka Fury, and her death was as gut wrenching as the others as she’d actually died trying to give her widow sisters the best chance at survival during an assignment.

As such, Wells had created an agency he was proud of and it had President O’Brian’s thumbprint of approval on it, and now as he steps down and takes his walk through the Widows Last Mile tunnel, his replacement, Lieutenant Colonel Shane Elliott Mallory takes over as Director of Black Widow, he leaves him with an agency that has over a hundred and fifty of the most dangerous, most beautiful female operatives all over the world at his call, and they will come for him just as they did Wells and the recruitment will keep on as there is no end to evil and the men and women that revel in it such as right now as the case Colonel Mallory will be handed is far more dangerous than all of what Well’s faced as the entire world is at risk, so join Colonel Mallory, Widow I, as the ongoing quest for world peace is threatened by the strangest enemy the world has ever known as the enemy comes up against the full power of,

    Introduction

The AW187 Radar Intelligence Plane, codename, Snoopy, took off from Edleman Air Force Base in Nevada doing what it had been built to do, detect radar signals from outside the United States. This had been it’s second mission and so far all went well as all systems made by Teledyne Incorporated worked like a charm from end to end of the massive plane, but this time there was going to be a change, a truly disastarous turn of events and lives of millions of people would both change and be lost to the coming encou nter.

Late one night just before sunset, something came out of the Pacific Ocean at bearing two four zero degrees, something so dark, so sinister that as yet all the electronic hardware on earth hasn’t detected it, but when a small airplane vanished that was on a collision course with it, and the AW 187 plane was vaporized by it, little did anyone know that from the depths of the Pacific Ocean would come the ghosts of the once proud battleships that were destroyed on the morning of December 7, 1941, but they’d return as the zombie fleet, alive and yet still dead, to do the bidding of their evil master. Now, Black Widow must find this menace and stop it because the entire world is at stake when The Widows come face to face with Micah Volkavic, aka Condor in

    Black Widow

    Armada, The Dark Fleet

    Written by

    Percy Frazier, Jr.

Outside, the air is filled with the sounds of fall as the Washington Redskins are hosting their division arch nemesis, the New York Giants at FedEx Field and the city is alive with the sounds of thousands of people filling every bar and tavern between Landover, Maryland and Washington, DC. The Giants have run things for quite some time in the division, but the now upstart Redskins are making a legitimate challenge for division supremacy knowing that within another few weeks they’ll be facing their other arch nemesis, the Dallas Cowboys in a much anticipated showdown with the much hated Cow boys.

It is a magical time in Washington for many, but for some it is a time of uncertainty as on the night before, the agency known as Black Widow had made a change as it’s original Director, Franklin Butler Wells has stepped down, and President O’Brian had to swear in a new man, one he felt capable of the task at hand, but he did so with a heavy heart as Wells had served admirably since creating the agency, but now it had come his time to step down and allow a new man to take over, a man that had served, not in the CIA as Wells had but had been the point man for Army Intelligence in the Middle East.

He is Lieutenant Colonel Shane Elliot Mallory, and for twenty years he ran things in the Office of Middle Eastern Affairs, and though the President installed him with a heavy heart it hadn’t been because he was unsure of Mallory’s abilities, quite the contrary, he was more than convinced that the agency was in capable hands as Colonel Mallory had been in command of six regiments of the new Kennedy Battle Tank when it was deployed to replace the M1A1 Abrahms Tank, and he’d fought them well against the forces of the Middle East insurgents that had gotten their hands on the old Russian battle champion, the T-34 tank. Colonel Mallory had been called home to assume the duties of the Director of Black Widow, something that didn’t sit well with Senator Simon Frazier of the powerful Ways and Means Committee, the agency that secretly funded Black Widow.

Frazier had gone far enough to threaten to have President O’Brian brought up and censored for overstepping his boundaries, until President O’Brian played a certain tape for him in which his late associate, D.K. Camrenson all but named him in complicity in the murder of State Department Director, Todd Trammell and his wife, Bridgette last fall (The Hunt For Agent Jamaica Storm). For the first time in his administration President O’Brian had to use blackmail to stop something from happening between he and the second most powerful man in Washington, Senator Simon Edward Frazier, and in a meeting where they starred each other down, Frazier blinked first, and left the President’s Office, but President O’Brian knew that he’d not heard the last of this meeting, or Frazier.

Not even the President knows the exact location of Black Widow, nor does Senator Frazier, and the only man that did was himself killed by the NEST security systems, Air Force Brigadier General Lucious Adonis Logankraft, when he and twenty heavily armed Air Force Security Officers breached the NEST in an effort to kill Wells and destroy the NEST, but would have succeeded had it not been for Little Rock, the NEST Security Specialist, having enhanced Logankraft’s system by using the brain engrams of an actual black widow spider, and once inside, the NEST Security systems wiped them out to a man leaving it’s creator, General Logankraft last on the meal agenda.

Wells was more than pleased with Little Rock’s improvements and the grant he authorized from the Ways and Means Committee was more than enough for her to one day retire from her position in the agency comfortably, and Frazier signed off on it as Wells knew he would as he and President O’Brian were close friends, and Wells knew of the meeting between the President and Senator Frazier and of the results.

President O’Brian had no idea that one of the exits ran under the west side of the White House lawn and opened up behind a tool shed, and that ever since Black Widow’s inception, the widow’s in training had been there inside the White House, roaming it’s many corridors though unseen by anyone due to the sophisticated clothing they wore that were made of the same material that the Stealth fighter and fighter bomber is made of, rendering them unseen by anyone other than each other. These widow’s had been in the agency for at least a year and had been hand picked by Montana from her dojo, widow’s that were excellent in hand to hand combat as in the beginning they’d not been allowed to carry weapons, so Montana had trained them how to make their hands lethal weapons.

They’d been widow’s Barri Mitchell, aka Cheyenne, Letha Crosby, aka Manslaughter, Penelope Goodrich, aka Jammer, Melissa Turnbull, aka Renegade, and Charlotte Livingston, aka Laredo. Being the kidder among these beautiful amazon women, Renegade once took off her uniform, stripping down to her bra and very thin thong and laid naked on the President’s bed while he and his wife were at a concert a Carnegie Hall, and when a White House Security man walked by and saw her in the bed, he couldn’t believe what he was seeing.

He called it in while he was looking at her, but as soon as she slipped back into her parachute pants and the tight fitting bra they all wore, she disappeared right in front of him, and as he and the others came into the room, she casually strolled right by them laughing to herself all the way down the hall. Got jokes a plenty do we, said Jammer as she’d seen the whole thing. Well, if you don’t tell on me about this, I won’t tell on you about the thing you did in the pool, Renegade says with a grin as Jammer had done the same thing, and she was every bit as gorgeous as Renegade.

After they’d done their tour of duty, just before sunrise, they’d all go back into the tunnel knowing that as the President slept, he’d done so in peace with the security provided by his unseen widow’s, then it was to the commisary for a breakfast unlike any other, a good nap, and then off to their regular jobs as Barri Mitchell is really Patrol Officer Stella Lynn Justin of the Washington DC Police Department; she is twenty three years old and whereas she’s fine being a cop, she craves more than just the humdrum boring days of riding around in a police car, she wants more; she will get more, much more.

Letha Crosby is really Pharmacist Wanda Douglas as she’s worked as the lead Pharmacist at Waldron and Baker Pharmacutical since her senior year at San Diego State University, but pushing pills pays well, she’s just very anxious to live the life her cousin lives as a magazine model; she just has no idea that her cousin is one of Black Widow’s most lethal operatives because she works out of the overseas arm of the agency in the Web, as her cousin is D’Amona Michelle Allen, aka, Delilah.

Penelope Goodrich is actually Dr. Lois Matilda Makinson, aka Jammer, the Director of Medical Sciences at Washington Heights Medical Center where she is the lead biochemist. Already considered a genius, at age twenty-four, she is the youngest lead biochemist in the world, and much of her collaborations have been on the encrypted pages of the internet that have allowed her to be in constant touch with one other that is her equal in the area of biochemistry, and though not knowing it at the time, she is the only widow that unwittingly stumbled onto the secret of what happened to both Sharon Harris and Megan Winthropp inside the NEST during her collaborations with Dr. Francine Obermeyer in Berlin last year who, unknown to her is actually the widow known as Turbulent.

It had been the one time that Dr. Lydia Sandoval, aka, Storm, and Dr. Rachal Murphy, aka, Galena, were frightened as was Dr. Obermeyer in Berlin, as this was the one secret that no widow was ever to know, but quietly, Galena smiled to herself as it had been Dr. Goodrich that had been one day projected to be her replacement, and if anyone would have discovered this secret it would have been her.

Melyssa Turnbull aka Renegade is actually Lieutenant Commander Allison Alvarez, United States Army, attached to the same Alpha Recon team that had been under the command of Captain Macy Cooper when they were in the Middle East last year(**The AmazonAngel/Now Comes The Sandman). She is coming up for being mustered out of the Army as she’s seen two tours of duty since Captain Cooper left the Army, but she is proficient in the use of firearms already and just goes through the training at Montana’s dojo because it’s required of her, but she is the lead student ever since she did the unthinkable, she fought Montana to a draw in the toughest fight Montana had ever been in up to that time, and Montana is twenty-eight years old.

Charlotte Livingston is really Maggie Jeannine Highsmith, Physical Education instructor at Penbrook Senior High School, the largest high school in all Landover, Maryland, but she is also the girlfriend of the Mechanics Shop Instructor, Mr. Alton Brentwood. This in and of itself hardly qualifies her to belong to the agency but for one thing, Ms. Livingston is more of a genius with mechanized things than she has let on, opting to remain in the guise of being a PE instructor, but the school shop has all the tools needed to create her weapon when the time is right, a self-propelled mini rocket launcher that will fire small, highly explosive mini missles that will be about six inches long but with a range of up to a thousand yards with a small transistor in the nose that will take it to within six inches of the target before exploding.

Presently, Mr. Brentwood has no idea of this secret activity she is in, nor will he, even though in about another year her training will be over and she will be officially a widow, but unlike the others, it will be this that ends their relationship as her services will be of greater need in Europe, as she will become a member of the WEB, the overseas arm of Black Widow, while the others will remain here in the states in various cover locations.

For now though, these five widows will not see action in the coming events as they are still in training, but if pressed into service, they will do what they have been trained to do up to now, kill with extreme prejudice if they have to. All of the widows though are in the NEST as they all line up to say their goodbye’s to the man that created them, a somber time as there is not a dry eye among them.

As he looks over the things in his office for the last time, he remembers everything and the things that pertained to them. He does not shed any tears because for Franklin Wells it has been good, but now his son, Terry is on the other side of the country with his mother, Tiffany, and she’s waiting for him, for him she has waited. As he comes out, it is like a salute as the widow’s of the domestic end in the LAIR are there and the closed circuit moniters on the walls show the ones in the WEB as they look on from their cover locations abroad, and they are like their LAIR sisters, they cry to.

Wells has not tried to become envolved with them but it has happened as is evidenced by his son Terry, who’d been concieved in Nightshade’s quarters, but it had never been held against him as he’d been more like a father to some of them than others, like Dr. Cheryl Powell, Sundance, when her husband was killed in a plane crash years earlier, she was in the NEST after she’d had a serous argument with him and was there when his plane crashed into the side of a montain and it had been Wells that broke the news to her even as she watched the news buletin about it, and she cried as he held her (Vengeance Is Mine Black Widow).

Cynthia Jason aka Eclipse is next and he’d been like a father to her when she was still hurting from finding out that the man she’d lost her virginity to in Chicago when she was a dentist there was married and had a family. She cried most of the night and part of the next morning as she’d had a profound sense of betrayal put on her, and to this day, no one has ever known that Wells put her in his lap and held her like a father would a daughter, until she dropped off into a deep sleep, and he’d not told anyone that Eclipse still had a childhood habit, when she was hurt and cried, she sucked her thumb, it had been their secret.

It was equally difficult for Janice Vincent, aka Innocent as she’d been away being a wife and mother and has only just now returned to the NEST, but for her it was hard because Wells had given her away on her wedding day, and had taken off to go to Detroit when it looked like her marriage was going on the rocks for a minute, and he had to remind her that she wasn’t just a regular woman, she was a widow, and she could not kill her husband just because he looked at another woman. The word awesome had been made for Innocent, and as such, she, at times would be full of herself, until her first child came, and then the next one, and by then she’d settled into being the wife of Detective Lieutenant Vic Lansing of the Detroit Police Department, and life couldn’t have been sweeter for her (**The Amazon Angel/Terrordome).

The WEB widows were no less tearful as Napoleana Delaclerc aka Red Riding Hood was crying openly, a strange sight for the WEB widows as they’d been known to be the most hostile of the widows, but for her, when she’d been injured helping Raven in Turkey, for as much as Wells had vilified her and her sisters, Delilah and Raven, he’d made a special trip to see her in the hospital while she was recovering, and when something happened in the operating room and she was clinically dead for thirty seconds, Wells had stayed by her bedside until she woke up from the coma she was in, three days later, never venturing farther than the water cooler down the hall from her room.

If there had been another other than Nightshade that he’d have bedded it would have been Michelle D’Amona Allen, aka Delilah, and the aching she felt in her own heart was seen in the tears she shed, as for her, Wells had to coach her back to life as one night about two years ago and on the second anniversary of her baby sister Lizabeth’s death, she left the NEST crying as the agony of it had finally gotten to her, and he had to have her sisters to find her.

When they did, she was standing at the middle of the George Washington Bridge in New York, looking into the water and crying. Wells had to grab her before she jumped over the side to be with Lizabeth, and on the bridge, and on a cold and rainy, night, he sat in the rain next to her, and put his coat over her shoulders, and let her cry on his shoulder until she’d gotten all of it out of her, and on the way back to the NEST, he bought her an ice cream cone, and put a drop of it on her nose, then he held her and reassured her that she was not alone and that Lizabeth would live inside of her as long as she lived herself, and after that night, Delilah became the most fearsome of all the WEB widows, and their (unofficial) leader.

Now it was at the end, and they cried for him because even Franklin Butler Wells would have to take the walk inside The Widows Last Mile tunnel, and as he looked back at them, finally a tear rolled down his face, and he waved to them all, and went inside and began his walk, and when he reached the end, the camera showed that when he stepped out into the air, he seemed momentarily dazed, and then a black Hummer picked him up, and now Franklin Butler Wells, was gone. Well, Colonel Mallory, you’re in charge, what are your orders, sir, asked Sundance. Mallory took a deep breath, and then he gave his first orders as the new Director of Black Widow.

Sundance, get me the file and all you can find on a man named Michah Jorell Volkavic, and put it through to my office," he says as he heads for what was once Wells’ office. There are no signs of resentment as they know that Wells had to do what he did, and that by the time he came out of the tunnel, he’d
