Christine Hillingdon was a Psychiatric Enrolled Nurse for twenty-seven years, employed under the South Australian Mental Health system. During that time, she kept diaries which reveal all aspects of working in that position, such as her period of training and dealing with people who suffered various degrees of mental illness, ranging from fright
Christine Hillingdon
Christine was born in England and migrated with her family to Adelaide, South Australia, in 1963. Since beginning to write in school, she has had many short stories and poems published in a variety of online and print literary magazines. She has also won a few competitions along the way, including 'Poems for Passengers'. This was a joint initiative between TransAdelaide and the Department for the Arts and Cultural Development in 1994. Christine has also written a children's book, The Girl from Far Away (Gnome On Pig Productions, 2016) and a women's fiction novel, The Maddest Kind of Love (Driven Press, 2016). When Christine isn't writing you will find her travelling overseas with her husband, cooking while listening to music, reading, or shimmying & shaking at Belly Dancing classes.
