Lifelong Passing Time

Time will not forget the passing

of ice cold silver

moon path dreaming nights

and sun hot

burnt white smouldering

summer days

a silent music’s

intoned resonance evoking

serpentine

tree-columned ways

and Parsifal following

the White Hart’s shadow

along lifelong roads

bearing the imprints

of passing feet

giving back softly sounding

echoing steps, unfolding

leading on

to sunset’s long-rayed

red unravelling

an endless curving

infinite horizon line

and love beyond

the dark’s unknowing.
