My prayer in writing this out is that you, gentle reader, will gain an appreciation of what the armor of God is for, and will be able to appreciate the true value of these invisible, and yet powerful, gifts of God.

The Armor of God, to me, is a concept that those in Christian circles often talk about. However, despite the discussions and the many times I’ve seen the armor displayed on posters and plaques, it seems to remain a bit of a mystery. What exactly is this armor? (For example, what is it exactly that the Breastplate of Righteousness does?) Following my curiosity, and after researching these for some time, it seemed the best way to share my discoveries - and make these precious gifts of God more understandable - would be to demonstrate them in action, to let you see how they forever changed the life of one particular boy. After all who doesn’t love a good story?

And so, having said all of that, let’s look in on young Philippe...
