Chapter I. The Fall

Secret Order

A powerful secret order has emerged on Earth thousands of years ago, striving to enslave people, establish totalitarian regimes and establish a unified authority over all mankind. Totalitarian regimes supported by this order came to power across different empires, kingdoms and republics in the past centuries; yet, they did not always manage to reach their goals. That is how the freedom fighters emerged and began to fight back these tyrants.

The order suffered two major setbacks, which turned out to be the two of the most critical events in human history, and resulted in the strengthening of democratic values. The War for Independence of the United States of America led by George Washington and the proclamation of the Declaration of Independence happened first, then followed Abraham Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation.

However, regardless of the defeat, the Secret Order had no intentions of giving up on their goals. The deaths of Abraham Lincoln and John F. Kennedy, the assassination attempt on Ronald Reagan, the emergence of the far-left and far-right regimes in different parts of the planet - all of this is the result of the work conducted by the Secret Order.

In recent decades, we've been witnessing the leaders coming into power on the back of populist rhetoric in many countries. Gradually, step by step, they establish totalitarian regimes and strengthen their power over the years of rule. This trend is actively evolving in Asia, Africa and South America, as the Secret Order agents are vigorously working in there. Now they have set their eyes on establishing similar regimes in Europe and North America, and eventually taking over the whole world.

For over two centuries, the Order has been attempting to crush the democratic structure in the United States, the Leader of the Free World. Up until now, all the attacks have been pointless. Unfortunately, a number of leaders who've been fighting for liberty died during this war. They sacrificed themselves for freedom and humanity!

The Order has been increasing its influence on the US in recent years. The influence is spread through its vassals – the leaders of large totalitarian countries. They have attempted to start building a totalitarian regime in the US recently, but the strong governmental system based on democratic values managed to withstand the evil influence. After the unsuccessful attempt, the Order decided to wage a large-scale, open war against democracy. This war was going to involve all available forces and resources, including the superpowers that are eager to take control of all humanity.

This time, the Secret Order decided to launch its attack from the East and South of the Eurasian subcontinent. Before the parliamentary and presidential elections, the Order held a secret Council with the representatives of the states that could ensure a seamless transition to a totalitarian regime.

The Council was conducted at an unknown location. Participants were blindfolded and brought to the spot via secret routes. Their blindfolds were only taken off inside the building where the Council was held. It was a large dark room with a long table in the middle with about twenty state representatives seated beside each other. They were the potential presidents, prime ministers, party functionaries, ideologists and advisers to heads of state.

The room was dark, and the light was intentionally set to prevent the participants from seeing each other. They could only see the table and the throne at its head. The iron throne was enormous, covered with dark grey cloth.

The participants were patiently waiting for His appearance. No one knew who He was. His mystery character was surrounded by legends. But everyone understood that He was the one to determine the fate of mankind in the nearest future. He has been supporting totalitarian leaders for thousands of years. They believe He was going to grant them unlimited powers.

Has the time really come? Everyone's hearts started to race. Some felt their blood pressure surging, others were short of breath. Their unhealthy lifestyles and neglected diseases began to kick in. At some point, huge doors opened behind the iron throne. Then white smoke started to spread out throughout the room. A few moments later, three people or humanoid creatures appeared out of the smoke. Everyone who believed the legend that He has been backing totalitarian regimes for thousands of years, realized that a human couldn't live that long. It meant that despite His human appearance, He was created by some superpower. Everyone realized that it was Him in the middle. A pair of huge thugs dressed in black leather were walking beside him. He wasn't tall, but stood up straight, had a confident gait and a solid build. His face was difficult to see – it was covered by the hood of a dark grey cloak. Only his chin, the tip of the nose, a trim grey beard, a moustache and pale skin were visible.

He sat down on the throne with confidence. All twenty people seated around the table could sense the bitter cold in their bodies. They could literally feel it in their bones. Everyone's hearts began to race even faster, and everyone felt huge lumps in their throats. Their hands trembled, and everyone tried to hide them in their pockets or sit on them.

Tyrant

At one point, He spoke in a low, shrill and slightly hoarse voice:

Welcome! and continued after a short pause. Greetings, my subjects. My name is Tyrant. The moment of justice has finally come, and this weak world with its helpless people will now be ruled by a tough hand that will strengthen this planet. All of us can see the chaos and disorder in the world. The reason for it is that many don't obey the order, everyone tries to stand out and make a statement. There is no respect for the true power in this world, he said hatefully, clenching his teeth.

His white, pale skin seemed to vibrate nervously. He paused and suddenly decided to speak about his appearance on our planet, "Thousands of years ago, I was conceived by your weakness, the weakness of humanity, and supported by the universal dark force, which wants to establish its order in all known and unknown planets, subordinating them to a single center.

The universe should be brought under rigid vertical control. All planets should be subjects of one power. This is a genuinely great mission! I put in a lot of effort to win on Earth. But apparently it was still insufficient. When I brought all kinds of despots, emperors, kings, totalitarian regimes to power, my own power increased, and I was close to establishing my authority over all of humanity. But people often found the courage to go against this order. The Secret Order created a large-scale plan, considering the multi-millennia experience and our past mistakes and achievements.
