About this ebook
This work of non-fiction is based on curious events from the History and structured analyzation thereof on some of the prominent stories on the socio-political map which were, at some point or the other, attempted to keep off from the masses by vivid means often termed as classifieds. There have been several attempts in past to unearth the facts stowed in the grave chapters of history; many are yet to be known. Bits and pieces came up at multiple junctures along the coveted walk of civilization.
The story unfolds capturing the curious moments, movements and incidents from the History to the likes of guerrilla warfare tactics leading to 9-11, dark chapter of history which led to free Masood Azhar from Indian prison, who eventually went on to get the acclaimed tag of ‘International Terrorist’ by Interpol in present day, the Vietnam war and Nagasaki Hiroshima incidents thereby walking down in details to the curious stories of disappearance of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, the Tashkent chapter for Indian politics and the likes.
Ever since the dawn of civilization, which we termed it for so many reasons though, mankind came past such junctures wherein world has been perplexed through the specifically guided perspectives. It was immaterial though, as few accepted it as whole picture while others did not, rather could not. And down the line, those pictures often turned horrifying, some of them still continues to haunt the very civilization.

The Inceptions
The Inceptions
Kaleidoscopic plethora around us, the vibrant abundance, naturally mesmerizes to keep from the fact that judicial assessments are not viable when the World around is seen through channelled ajar. The very yet obvious reason is the scale of the sample, the spectrum and the perspectives. So we may need to wonder what could be the intents of such attempts. Eyewash? Sounds a logical derivative. But then, whom for is this? Not many would be interested in it anyway. Yet it is done, and done repeatedly, in every era, perhaps relentlessly; sometimes in the name of myths, sometimes in the form of distorted stories and yet at some occasions as distorted facts. At every walk of life, there will be such attempts and they will continue to haunt the future.
Yes, we are discussing about the facts as seen and the facts as shown.
As instance, history knows that active guerrilla warfare tactics were used at the Battles of Lexington and Concord by the patriots during April 1775, though ancient history tracks it back to Mayan times. Even in recent past, at times, George Washington used similar unconventional methods to fight the British. After the British surrender at Yorktown and America gaining their independence, many of these Americans who used guerrilla tactics and strategies became immortalized and romanticized as time passed. This art continued to graduate further among warfare mind frames. But then, only as long as things go well looks well. In the process, United States nurtured the ill-famous Al Qaida, developed out of the Afghan resistance fighters collectively known as the Mujahedeen then, in the times of guerrilla wars, just to overcome Russia during Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. Of course no one would have assessed that this very act would one day bring down their twin trade towers to ground zero, the ‘9-11’ as we know. Whoever have been blamed for this may not be the actual ones to be blamed. Again, many knows, many recognizes, but then what. The same ajar becomes the visible showcase to world. Facts remain in the distinguished closets.
What follows at the downstream of every such blooper is a series of brainstorming, analytics and algorithms to conceive and design the cover-up. Because obviously whatever done is done, it could not be reversed. The realization came after the actions. So we have to find the best cover-up theory so that the very act starts looking perfect. It’s then up to anybody’s imagination that how much efforts it may call for to show something which actually is not there at all. Or to glorify something which actually exists in its ugliest state. Perhaps it could have been way easier if similar efforts, analysis or algorithms could have been adopted and practiced upstream. For a better tomorrow.
Its not that no effort was made at the upstream of the said exercises, rather operation or mission as sounds more glorious. We will be grossly wrong if we consider so. No. At the upstream also, series of barnstorming takes place, flowcharts developed, algorithms made, string diagram created and critical analysis is done. Suggestion to improve the operation charts would be invited from all walks of life but only from the so called intellectual classes, those who ‘really understand’ the subject. All efforts will be there in place. But only difference will be that at the upstream, all attempts and efforts will be to derive methodology on ‘how to execute’ the operation, where are the weak nodes, which string gives least resistance, which is critical path and so on. So all said and done, it is concluded that the plan, rather race, is set, and then just go on, execute, take intermediate feedbacks during the operation to evaluate whether any corrective measure is envisaged to ‘continue the execution’. The entire process finds it grossly illogical to evaluate aftermaths.
Pick-up the mentioned ‘9-11’ chapter again. In any way could this, or should this, be termed as the resonance of Iraq war? Much stranger is the fact that America did this even after having painful consequences from Vietnam War earlier. Means apparently the terms like ‘Lessons Learnt’ do not apply anywhere in such spectacle by default. There is no question that few conflicts have been as violent, long lasting and complex as the Vietnam War. The war was fought between the North Vietnamese and the South Vietnamese throughout the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. More specifically, the war took place from 1955 until 1975 but it didn't escalate for until the 1960s. The North had the support of communist allies including the Soviet Union and China, while the South had the support of the west with the United States. In fact, the United States entered the war militarily, though not for any good cause, and played a large role in the conflict for several years. Due to the time period and nature of the War, historians today consider it to be a Cold War era, specifically, proxy war between the United States and Soviet Union. In general, historians have identified several different causes of the Vietnam War, including the spread of communism during the Cold War, American containment and European imperialism in Vietnam.
There are several theories as to why America got involved into this mess when there was no dire reason to. So is it just because they got habituated to poking nose everywhere. A philosophical approach as explained by few are that the main reason the United States got involved in Vietnam was the purpose of doing everything possible to keep communism from spreading around world. Since the beginning of the Cold War the United States had practiced a policy of containment against the expansion of communism, and wanted to prevent the ideology from taking root in different regions of the world. This containment policy is often referred to as the Truman Doctrine, since American President Harry S. Truman argued that the United States should actively support the containment of Soviet Communism in the years immediately after World War II. Further to this idea, the reasons for American involvement in the Vietnam War are often held as part of the Domino Theory.
The domino theory was a Cold War era belief popular within the United States from the 1950's until the end of the Cold War. Based on the Truman Doctrine, the theory held the idea that if Soviet communism was able to spread into a single country, then it had the potential to spread to all of the other surrounding countries. The basic idea was that the American's needed to prevent the first domino from falling (country turning to communism) in order to prevent the spread of communism. As such, historians now argue that the United States used the Domino Theory to justify its involvement in Vietnam, just as it did in the earlier War in Korea.
Yet another theory is that the North Vietnamese attacked the US Navy in the Gulf of Tonkin. This incident gave the USA the excuse it needed to escalate the war.
In the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution, US Congress gave President Lyndon Johnson permission to wage war on North Vietnam. As a result, the first major contingent of US Marines arrived in 1965.
For the next ten years the USA's involvement increased. By 1968 over half a million American troops were in Vietnam and the war was costing about $77 billion a year. The War was a long, costly and divisive conflict that pitted the communist government of North Vietnam against South Vietnam and its principal ally, the United States. The conflict was intensified by the ongoing Cold War between the United States and the Soviet Union. More than 3 million people, including over 58,000 Americans, were killed in this War, and more than half of the dead were Vietnamese civilians. Opposition to the war in the United States bitterly divided Americans, even after President Richard Nixon ordered the withdrawal of U.S. forces in 1973. Later, Communist forces ended the war by seizing control of South Vietnam in 1975 and the country was unified as Socialist Republic of Vietnam the following year.
So we see that be it Vietnam or Iraq or Afghanistan or Korea, be it Mujahedeen or Taliban or Al Qaida or ‘Chromite’, no past consequences could deter the next ‘project’ chosen.
The breakdown of USSR, a major game changer of the century from the supremacy perspectives, is not out of socio-political memories yet. And the fleet of so called ‘Red Sparrows’ gone down into it is well known to the coveted agencies around the world. Violation of several similar protocols giving birth to the ‘Jackals’ in France in 1963 is also well known, though to a limited fraction of the world.
What happened on August 6 and 9, 1945 in Japan could be termed as the ugliest face of such fallacies. For once if we set aside the sympathetic angle, summarily what happened could be viewed in a different perspectives. During the so acclaimed World War-II, Japan, in the attempt of gaining supremacy over the Asia-pacific region and spreading claws further beyond, started getting down to notorious levels. To fuel this long drawn ambition, they needed actual fuel, or oil to simplify. America was among the mainland for oil in those times. So to threaten for easy access to this fuel source, Japan bombed Pearl Harbour thus causing biggest maritime damage of the era to America, of course with severe causalities of civilians and medicos in the process. The obvious result was retaliation of the Allies and those two bombs were dropped on Nagasaki and Hiroshima. This is still counted into the black chapters of history, the first and perhaps the last use of nuclear weapons in a war. ‘Perhaps the last’ because the Blue Planet knows that if it happens again, story will not be short or sweet and this will push through the thresholds the world is holding now thus triggering the chain reactions which will eventually push the very species into the extinction.
So, would we like to know what civilization learnt or did out of it? Surprisingly, just the opposite happened to what should have happened. Post that episode, possessing the nuclear weapon became new definition of being in power on world map. Almost all countries started developing their own nuclear facilities, though on the discrete mode perhaps just to honour the history. Enormous resource and effort got allocated in the research and development of Weapons of Mass Destruction, WMDs as commonly known. Moreover, multiple undercover coveted agencies mushroomed all over the world making harrowing efforts to unearth such development facilities of others to expose.
To expose to whom is definitely yet to be understood.
As such, we made a cursory round of the globe above and could not see much of behavioural change through the journey. Every time, something was shown while more was to hide. Such is the state of socio-political world around us; of course we are the privileged and proud owner of the Blue Planet.
We do not need to struggle too much to dig out many such examples, we have our very own, right in our Indian backyard.
The dirty partition, as we know it, was never for the people. It was result of mere greed of Nehru and Jinnah, their selfish greed for sovereignty. One from either sides supported, rather, fuelled and misled the masses for their very cause thus again working on the proven theory of showing the facts through typical ajar.
So, it’s not about people of these two countries. It’s not about me. It’s not about you. It NEVER was about us.
Pushing out the British was the core mission. But the detours created by these minds led to a different ballgame all together. Law and order had broken down many times before Partition, with much bloodshed on both sides. A massive civil war was looming by the time Mountbatten became Viceroy. After the Second World War, Britain had limited resources, perhaps insufficient to the task of keeping order. The historian viewpoint is that Mountbatten may have been too hasty as he had no real options left but to cut and run away under the prevailing gruesome circumstances.
The alternative seemed to be involvement in a potentially bloody civil war from which it would have been difficult to get out. The modalities were under discussion, the Radcliffe Line debate was on. While the commission took longer to decide on a final boundary than on the partition itself. Thus the two nations were granted their independence even before there was a defined boundary between them.
Because independence was declared prior to the actual Partition, it was up to the new governments of India and Pakistan to keep public order. No large population movements were contemplated; the plan called for safeguards for minorities on both sides of the new border. It was a task at which both states failed. There was a complete breakdown of law and order; many died in riots, massacre, or just from the hardships of their flight to safety. Again, whomever could have been blamed for this are not the actual ones to be blamed. Again, many knows, many recognizes, but so what. The same political ajar. The larger masses see what they are shown. At times, what they want to see conveniently is all they want to see.
And then, what we got out of this. Pakistan. A country, which is not even being termed as a Nation in true perspectives. A country lost in itself and leading to nowhere. Entire wealth
