About this ebook
In her fifth novel, Lee Anne Wonnacott Weltsch dips into how a single touch can change lives beyond imagination. The Man from Marvessa is a simmering exhibition of love unexpected, and love deserved and a palpable story about the lengths some will go for that bond.
It was supposed to be a diplomatic moment, a solemn event aboard the freighter Tarragon. He was not even supposed to be there, but the official envoy was pulled away, so the commander put on his black gloves and came aboard.
Relxan Roharh was a muscular, vaguely reptilian man, a brilliant Military enforcer from Marvessa. His life is going nowhere until he met Lesslee Mao, a lithe, beautiful human woman with a passion for the rare and exotic.
Relxan gets hit with an emotional thunderbolt when their mutual clairvoyant minds collide upon first touch. Lesslee Mao never admitted to herself that she was lonely. She filled her waking hours with work. But now, Lesslee is breathless, in awed fascination of the rugged, tall alien. He marked her with three black dots on her left palm: the Roharh sign of possession.
Relxan heads out to work seventeen light years away and he becomes cocooned in longing for the raven-haired woman from Earth. Thousands of messages back and forth over the next year. He was never meant to have a mate. The years of ruthless violence had built an impenetrable wall around his heart. the disfigurement and scars didn't just mar his body, they flawed his mind as well. He had forgotten how to care for someone. Until he touched her.
A rendezvous! Lesslee packed her suitcases and hopped a shuttle out to the rim of the solar system, where chaotic onslaught dogged her every step. Concussion, stitches, a dead man in her wake, interstellar police hunting for her. But she has tricks up her sleeves and in her luggage.
Once they are skin to skin, Relxan begins to feel magnetically drawn to her passionate heart. But he wants more. He urges her to give him her veritable essence.
Finally, when the Roharh Group announces Relxan’s new assignment at Scalla, the romantic interlude is shattered! Together for their last moments, they must find the fortitude and courage to go on when the vastness of space silently moves in between them. Their lives forever tangled, yet seemingly forever separated.
This standalone sci-fi alien romance features perilous scenes on interstellar vessels, mammoth space stations, and a steamy fascination seventeen light years off the rim in the cold, dark night.

On any given day you can find her speeding on the Five, harassing the clerks in Wal-Mart or sitting in her car with a DoubleDouble. Her religion is the National Football League and an Oakland Raider fan since 1967. She prefers a Sheriff over a city cop, a pickup over a coupe and a Colt.45 over a 9 mm. She’s a sucker for children under three and anyone in their 90’s. She will happily put you on hold until next week. Every book she writes feels like her first one.
