Niall hurried along the street, keeping his head down, his document of labor rolled up in his right hand.

He felt the cold black eyes of the arachar orcs as he passed the soldiers.

Cintarra groaned in the iron fist of the Heptarchy invaders. The city had fallen to Warlord Agravhask’s army, and now the Heptarchy soldiers swarmed through the streets, ordering all things according to the will of the conquerors. Any man or woman fit enough to work was issued a document of labor, assigning them work in exchange for their daily ration of food. The arachar soldiers had seized every scrap of food in the city and now doled it out to obedient workers.
