The Song of Truth - Mary Wride
About Me
Hello and thank you for your interest in this book.
My name is Mary and I am a mother, writer, teacher, coach, survivor and witness.
I grew up in a violent home, and the trauma of seeing my mum being undermined and abused had a huge impact on my life. I’m certain it fired up my passion to help and inspire others and led me into a career specialising in leadership, team and personal development.
In particular, I love working with women to explore how we can make change in our lives and at times, this means dishing out a bit of tough love. Too often we put up, shut up, fit in and hide, instead of owning our power, telling our truth, finding our freedom and creating the future we deserve.
Join me on my journey of self-discovery. Learn how I come to terms with childhood trauma and confront my biggest fears by connecting with my inner wisdom, trusting my intuition and finding the strength to tell my story.
I am humbled and comforted to know that there are so many skilled and committed people who are available to help and support victims of domestic abuse.
Two charities close to my heart are Solace Women’s Aid and The Elm Foundation. If you would like to make a donation please click on the relevant link at the back of the book.
Dedications
For my beautiful mum. I owe you this.
Also for my brothers, Billy (deceased) and Jim.
I cannot tell your story, though we shared a common plight.
And for my daughter, Heather.
It’s important that these words are held in loving hands.
You are my best friend and I love you.
