THE LETTER
Tuesday – August 27 Early Morn
In my sweet wee home – all silent except for the hum of the insect world.
Good morning Joe,
Having been separated from your writings for two weeks (got stuck in Chapel Hill/ Durham) I am now awash in them, reading by candlelight – some moonlight through the window. I’m not quite done but deep enough to know (know what?!) that this
is a world
- the one you are walking in – that I have glimpsed through you; through a mystic friend in Cambodia; through a beloved friend whose bipolar disorder
has taken her to places I can only imagine. I do not dis-believe this world, yet/and… I do not experience it myself. I am not at all sure
(whatever that is) of the existence
(whatever that is) of God/Creator/The One…. I talk of Spirit
at times- as in led by
- but couldn’t tell you what I mean by that. I’ve read much of the mystics – but/and have not experienced that state and find that I am not led
to long and yearn for it directly. And so – I totally know
that what you write of is your real
(whatever that is) experience, true and rich and deep. Because it is all second hand to me, I’m not sure what I could write/say about it? Somehow, I feel so gifted and grateful that I know people who have been able/can move
among these worlds. That I can share their/your experience second hand. It enlarges my world, deepens my soul, enriches my spirit, gives me courage and wonder…. For this, I am so grateful to you for the sharing of your own transformative experience so that others of us
can at least know that such infinite depth and breadth exists ----
not so far away.
Well -I smile – Here I am writing about what you write, in order to explain that I don’t feel competent to write about it! Makes me laugh – a cosmic chuckle.
Can’t imagine any of this meandering could be of use, but if there are snippets that could help, it’s all yours.
Gratefully, Jean

DEDICATION
I dedicate this book to the wish that your journey be filled with love and compassion. To all my relations and to the Creator.
FORWARD
Reminiscent of The Alchemist, this book broaches simply stated concepts of enormous depth. Written in a poetic style that moves from Olde English rhyme to modern day Rap, it leads the reader through multi-lifetimes and layered dimensions of existential questioning within a short walk through the woods.
At once complex and basic the lyrical nature of this writing gives rise to conflicting emotions and reads like a composite story-song of existence.
It can be read as an allegory of one’s mans’ Life Questions or a poetic rendering of everyday musings. It crosses the spectrum between Shamanism, storytelling, and journaling.
You’ll want to read it several times to continue gleaning the gold hidden here.

Following Ragman down his final path, we bear witness to a growing soul. Each step of the journey speaks of a raw and open sore transforming into an ecstatic vision of wholeness. Both tender and desperate moments shared boldly, Ragman opens and humbles himself before us. We meet the characters within him. We hear the words they share with him. He talks to us as he speaks to himself as a
man, a
