About this ebook

Sex was his trade—not by choice, but Elijah learned a long time ago you can’t escape fate.
There was something inside of him that his mage blood enticed, and when it was hungry, it left naked bodies in its wake.

Elijah has lived a life of solitude because of it, until someone found his unique gifts useful.
He’s left drugged and chained up—a prisoner to his own demons.

Until he dreamed of a brother he never knew, who sends a dark-haired pixie to help set Elijah free.

For the first time in forever, she silenced the hunger that lived within Elijah. A hunger that never quite belonged to him.

The only problem? Elijah wasn’t the only man she was there to rescue, and that awoke a different beast inside of him.

    Thirty years ago

Mishal sat in one of Lucifer’s many throne rooms. This one was the only one that gave Lucifer a glimpse to the earthly realm he so desperately wanted dominion over.

Mishal hated coming down here, and he usually never inserted himself in the affairs of the mortals and the supernatural—he felt like a god among them—but something was brewing. He didn’t know what it was or when it was coming, but he could feel it. It was in the vibrations of those pesky mortals and the unrest that was brewing among the supernaturals. Age-old feuds between werewolves and vampires started up again, the pixies and the faes getting their wings plucked for sport by anyone stronger than them, and, of course, the witches and mages stockpiling enough ingredients for potions to last an entirety. Mishal felt his blood heat at the prospect of war. It had been ages since the last one, and where there was war there were victories for him—more power to gain.

Lucifer waved his hand toward the magical barrier that prevented him from stepping onto the earth. I can feel it and yet, it’s still out of reach, he murmured before turning around to face Mishal. I’m guessing you’re here for a reason. Lucifer walked back to his throne.

Mishal nodded. Your seers, he started, I know you can feel it too, that is, if you didn’t set it in motion yourself. I want to know what it is. Mishal commanded, but Lucifer made no move to speak, instead he watched Mishal with unmasked amusement.

Mishal’s jaw locked as he stared down the only being who had information Mishal couldn’t threaten or beat out of. Lucifer played by his own rules, which didn’t always fit into the laws of the supernatural. If Lucifer didn’t want to help Mishal, he’d have to seek counsel elsewhere, and while Mishal had other connections, Lucifer’s seers had always been the most accurate.

Lucifer’s smile widened and he snapped his fingers after what seemed like a small eternity. The sound of a door opening pulled Mishal’s attention to the far left corner of the room. One of his many demons had appeared, and going by the darkness that surrounded him, it was a shadow demon. I’ll let you in on some of the truth I’ve been gifted with, Mishal. Lucifer stood as he spoke.

Mishal watched as Lucifer touched his own chest and a flash of blinding light burst into the room. All too quickly, the light was gone, and in its place was a maleficent essence that swirled around in Lucifer’s hand. Mishal could feel the menace coming off of the essence, and he wondered what Lucifer had planned.

The world up there is in shambles, a devil’s playground if you will. Lucifer chuckled at his own joke. Chaos in both the human world and the supernatural, it almost makes me happy. You know, you and I are a lot alike, Mishal. We get dubbed the bad guys, when the truth is we all have a little evil inside of us. They’re killing each other up there, more and more each day.

Lucifer walked over to the shadow demon and gripped his shoulder tightly. You have been chosen, Balor, he whispered to the shadow demon. You will give me what it is I seek. He shoved the dark essence into the shadow demon’s chest.

It doubled over in pain, and Mishal could feel the energy in the room change. He could feel pride course through his own body, quickly followed by greed and envy and on to wrath so strong, a growl was ripped from Mishal’s throat—he was itching for a fight.

As quickly as he felt the rage from wrath, it was replaced by another sensation, tearing a low moan from his throat. His cock ached to the point of being borderline painful. He could feel the lust course through him, it was so potent he could already taste his own orgasm on his tongue. His gaze landed on the shadow demon writhing around on the floor, and Mishal’s first thought was how desperate he was to stick his cock in him.

You should prepare like I’m doing, Mishal. Lucifer’s voice sounded far away, but it was enough to get Mishal to focus on something other than the energy in the room. Balor here is going to bring more chaos into the world. He will plant my seeds across the realms, and if what he delivers is strong enough to affect the great Mishal, the supernatural and humans don’t stand a chance.

Lucifer walked back toward Mishal as other sensations vibrated in the room they were in. Each sensation passed through him quickly but packed a strong enough punch to linger inside of him. Lucifer sat back on his throne seeming oblivious to what Mishal was feeling.

In war, Mishal, you always have to be one step ahead of everyone. He nodded his head toward the shadow demon. Considering what you and my demon are currently feeling, think of this as my preemptive strike in the war that will be here one day. My seeds will bring only destruction. Lucifer turned toward Mishal. You should prepare as well. My seers have seen great things for us.

    Present day

Meadow walked into Potion. It was a speakeasy the humans seemed to adore in this realm, but they didn’t know what lurked behind the glamour spell. The lower levels catered more toward Meadow’s kind—the supernatural, and she hoped she’d find answers to the questions she was seeking.

Her boyfriend, Desmond, a berserker, had been taken from her a year ago. The information she was able to gather told her he was being held prisoner in some sex club, called Lust. The only problem was that any supernatural she spoke to about this place either had zero knowledge of the club or had sent her on a wild goose chase. Lust had proven to be impossible to find, but she wasn’t about to give up. She was going to find Desmond one way or another, and that’s what had her in Moscow now, freezing and exhausted.

Meadow scanned the patrons, her eyes settling on a group of large males who resembled Desmond in size. She hoped they would have the information she was after. She went to approach the table but hesitated, wondering if she should shapeshift into a different person—pixies were tormented and bullied because of their size and lack of real power.

Don’t shrink or hide who you are on account of everyone else. Desmond’s words echoed in her head, and she remembered all the times he wouldn’t let her be anyone other than herself. She was a pixie with little magic that came from her shapeshifting ability. She could transform into pretty much anyone with a humanoid body, and sometimes that made her life easier, but it came at the expense of hiding a part of herself.

Meadow walked over to the table already feeling the hungry eyes of the males who sat there. She hoped she didn’t have to deal with the unwanted sexual suggestions that came every time she opened her mouth. As much as she knew pixies were tormented, her features seemed to make her stick out, especially in Moscow. Where most pixies were of fair skin and reddish-blonde hair, she was on the darker side. She had long thick black hair that she kept in a braid, big doll-like eyes the color of the night sky, and warm brown skin that looked permanently sun-kissed. On more than one occasion she’d been called a hot commodity and exotic. She hated it. She wanted to blend in with the rest of her pixie comrades if only because it kept the attention off of her.

Well, well, well. Look what we have here, murmured the biggest one at the table. Even sitting down he towered over the others and was taller than she was standing up.

Meadow plastered on a fake smile. I’m hoping you gentlemen can help me. She kept her tone even.

If it’s to help you out of that heavy coat, I’m game. The big one patted his hand on his lap, spreading his legs on an invitation. Come have a seat, sweetheart, and tell me what troubles you.

    Right now, it’s you.

Meadow swallowed the words. She was used to this type of behavior when she approached males, but it still pissed her off that she had to deal with it.

I’m actually looking for some information, well for someone really and—

The man of your dreams is right here, doll. The big one cut her off with a laugh, and the rest of the table joined in on the laughter.

She slammed her hands down on the table, quickly cutting off the laughter. That’s not what I meant, she snapped. If you’d shut up and listen, I can be out of your hair quickly.

There was a low gasp followed by an ‘oh shit,’ and she knew her eyes were flashing purple. She had no clue where that ability came from, but it only made its appearance when she was pissed off, and right now these assholes were infuriating her. She was exhausted, and the quicker she got what she came for, the quicker she’d be on her way.

Meadow cleared her throat. As I was saying, have any of you heard of the club called Lust? It’s a—

No. The big male who was all jokes a moment ago cut her off now, seeming annoyed by her presence. There’s no club by that name here. Now get lost.

Meadow let out a breath. She was disappointed. She knew any leads she had could very well have her running around in circles, but she thought for sure this last one would have pointed her in the right direction.

Are you sure you don’t know anything that could help me? The club is well—

Bug off, will you? My buddy just told you we don’t know a damn thing. Meadow was cut off again by a different male with a thick British accent.

Yeah, fuck off, girl, the big male snarled.

They went from looking at Meadow with hunger in their eyes to looking at her like she was no more than an annoying fly whose wings they had every intention of ripping off.

I don’t like the way you two are speaking to my friend. Meadow jumped, startled by the newcomer she hadn’t heard approach. She took in his height and dark hair. He had tattoos peeking out of his shirt and when she inhaled she caught a whiff of cat. She smirked, despite his menacing presence. He was a shifter like a part of her was.

Meadow turned to address the group, filled with false bravado because she had a new ally at her back. Yeah, you guys could have been a lot nicer. But no hard feelings.

Come on, kid. Let’s see if we can find someone else to help us. He motioned toward the bar, and Meadow followed behind, ignoring the ‘kid’ comment, being half-pixie kept her youthful, even though she’d been an adult for quite some time now.

They approached a female with tattoos adorning her entire body. She looked like the very definition of sin, and there was something about her that drew Meadow to her, even though warning bells were going off in her head.

I’m Lev, her rescuer started. And this is my wife, Lux.

He nodded toward the female who quickly hopped off the barstool to close the distance between her and Meadow. You smell so sweet—

That’s enough, darling, Levi cut her off, and it was then that Meadow realized what the draw was to the gorgeous woman. Lux was a succubus, and Meadow wanted to hug the female right then and there, who better to know about a sex club than a succubus?

What are you looking for? Lev questioned.

My boyfriend. He’s been taken. He’s in some sort of deep, dark sex club that’s impossible to find unless you know someone. I thought it was somewhere around here, but now I’m not so sure. From what I’ve been told, the walls are deep purple and gold with long banners. It almost makes it seem like royalty lives there.

Meadow tried to hold on to her excitement of the prospect of finally finding someone who knew of the place, but her exhaustion was starting to set in. She’d been on the go ever since Desmond was taken. She was almost at the end of her hope that she’d find this place and him.

What’s your name? Lev’s question interrupted her internal musings.

Hadn’t she given her his name already?

Oh, I’m sorry. I’m Meadow. I have a lot on my mind, and names seem to be low on the list of importance. Have either of you seen this place? She could hear herself begging, but she didn’t care. She just wanted to bring Desmond home.

"That’s noxotb, no?" Lux uttered some word in Russian that gave Meadow hope.

Meadow saw the confusion take root in Lev’s face before he spoke again. When did they get the purple and gold banners?

Lux shrugged. Early this year, before I met you.

Was there a sex demon there? One they kept shackled all the time? There was a sense of urgency that Meadow was having a hard time following. She wasn’t sure what this conversation had to do with her.

Lux nodded and her face flushed, seeming a little embarrassed
