About this ebook

Break 'em and leave 'em—that was T-Back Johnson's personal creed. Until he tried to break Raisha Sunshine. Not only did Rai dominate him, but she rose to the top as his queen before anyone could blink. With an agenda of her own, and T-Back hunted by the police, she's diabolical enough to steal control of the South Side drug industry from the Vice Lords and her brother, Byron—better known as Bennie Mac.

With the Hustlers at her command, the battle for Chicago's south side just became a war. Exactly how far is Rai Sunshine willing to go to get to the top? Peaches might be her nickname, but there's nothing sweet about her. Blood doesn't always mean loyalty, and neither does love.

Who will rule Chi-town? The brother, the lover, or the woman who fooled them all?

**This is not a sweet love story. It is a dark street gang romance of control and domination and contains subject matters that may trigger some readers.**

Mikky Sins

A die-hard Alice in Wonderland fan, Mikky Sins always thought Alice and the Hatter had great chemistry. Add the Red Queen’s delicious wickedness to the mix, and she was bound to become a dark romance author. Mikky believes love is the motivation for everything, even the darkest parts of your nightmares, and that is why her motto is to write darkness with a sprinkle of love. As a resident of Mad River, Ohio she often hopes to spot her own white rabbit and quite often needs to be retrieved from the rabbit holes of Facebook she constantly falls into. When she isn’t writing, she’s reading, babying two very spoiled cats, and dreaming of a world of unbirthdays and regular tea parties.

    Hustlers - Mikky Sins

    Dedication

    To Shannons everywhere.

    Chapter One

B yron, I’m not going to pretend to understand the business, because I don’t. What I can tell you is that I know a lot more about it than you think. I don’t need you to protect me, anymore, big brother. I can handle the streets just fine.

Whether you think you need my protection or don’t is irrelevant. As long as I’m alive, you’ll get it. Byron shook Rae a little harder than he meant. Don’t you get it, girl? I have enemies who would use you to get back at me.

She snarled. Let ‘em try. I’m tougher than you think.

Baby girl, tough ain’t got nothing to do with it, he said softly, stroking a lock of her hair.  They use you, abuse you, and leave your withered, old, used-up ass in the gutter. Trust me. Just trust me. You don’t want no part of that.

Byron swiped his face with his big hands and breathed shallowly. Rae had no clue how close she’d just come to getting hurt. He’d promised their mother he’d always look out for her, and he meant to keep that promise. Every day it grew harder to protect her. She was much too pretty for her own good and had the attitude to go with it. Stubborn was her middle name. If she’d been a male, she would have already made a legacy for herself as a Vice Lord. The days she managed to keep her wits about her, she was a formidable opponent, a wonder in his business world. But she was also hot-headed and prone to making hasty decisions based on her mood, and that made for a dangerous combination.

Everyone who knew him—friend and enemy alike—knew how much he cared about his family, and that put her in even more danger. There were plenty of gangs on Chicago’s southside, and as the leader of one of the larger ones, Byron, known as Bennie Mac on the streets, had enough on his plate. Raesha, his sister, and her tenaciousness only made his stress that much worse, and his job protecting her that much harder.

Rae’s eyes rolled, and she huffed. Fine, she said. I’m done for today, anyway. She pulled a fistful of money from her pocket and giggled. If they lost any more of their money to me, they’d have to go home with their tails tucked between their legs. They always underestimate me.

Byron laughed and took the wad of cash from her hands and counted it. When he finished, he shook his head. Girl, you’re going to be in so much trouble when they catch on. Who taught you how to work them like that?

His ear-to-ear grin told her everything. As much as he bitched about her, he was proud of her.

It ain’t you, that’s for sure, she said, sticking her hip out and waving her index finger in his face. You’re too busy chasing tail to teach me anything. I learned from the best.

I know, I know. Cassia taught you everything you know. You don’t have to remind me.

Rae laughed and shook her head. Cassia was Byron’s wife. Once she set her hooks in you, you were done.

You got that right, Cassia said as she entered the room. She planted a deep, long kiss on Byron’s lips. And you’d do right to listen to him, Raesha. He’s only trying to keep you alive.

Rae rolled her eyes again. He’d do better to mind his own damn business.

Byron turned with his hand outstretched and smacked Rae across the face.

"Really, girl? You are my business, just as I promised momma on her deathbed. I’ve had enough of your disregard. Keep it up, and I’ll lock you up. You
